Senior Software Engineer (Kotlin)

Join our team to design, develop, and optimize scalable, cloud-native applications using Kotlin and Java. You'll build robust systems, implement efficient testing strategies and ensure high performance, all within an Agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain high-quality, scalable applications with Kotlin and Java, adhering to best practices for clean and efficient code
• Design and build applications using cloud-native principles for high scalability, availability and resiliency, leveraging platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization with Docker and Kubernetes
• Establish and maintain comprehensive testing frameworks for unit, integration and end-to-end (E2E) tests, automating pipelines to enhance quality assurance
• Design and manage both relational and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity, optimized performance and seamless data migrations
• Configure and manage high-availability caching systems (e.g., Redis, Memcached) to boost application performance and efficiently handle high traffic
• Monitor and optimize application performance, addressing bottlenecks in code, database and caching layers to ensure high availability and reduced response times
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams in an Agile setting, actively participating in code reviews, design discussions and technical workshops
• Stay current with emerging Kotlin, Java and cloud-native technologies, driving innovation in development practices and tools to enhance team productivity

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience in application development and design
• Proficiency in Kotlin and Java
• Strong understanding of Cloud-Native architecture
• Hands-on experience setting up testing frameworks and defining development test strategies (unit, integration, E2E)
• Practical experience with relational and NoSQL databases
• Hands-on experience establishing high-availability caching and implementing caching strategies

Nice to have

• Experience with specific cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer)
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
