We are looking for a Lead Backend Software Engineer with expertise in Go to strengthen our growing engineering team.
You will play a key role in developing robust systems that enhance product functionality and align with business objectives, working in a dynamic and collaborative environment that values technical expertise and teamwork.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain unit and automated testing infrastructure
- Design scalable, high-performance services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consider the broader impact of technical decisions
- Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards and foster knowledge sharing
- Contribute to technical design proposals and proof-of-concept projects
- Promote and uphold engineering best practices to enhance team productivity
- Ensure operational excellence through system testing, monitoring, and documentation
- Oversee the stability and health of services during on-call occasions when necessary
Requirements
- 5+ years of total software development experience
- 3+ years of professional experience with Go
- 1+ years of relevant leadership experience
- Expertise in designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining cloud-based services and microservices (AWS preferred)
- Proficiency in SQL, databases, and Postgres
- Strong code quality, best practices, continuous delivery, and automated testing
- Flexibility to adapt to appropriate tools and technologies for various tasks
- Capability to work autonomously and influence technical decisions
- English proficiency at B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Familiarity with gRPC, Protobuf, and GraphQL
- Understanding of Amazon Redshift, Datadog, and Google Cloud BigQuery
- Skills in Lighthouse and MySQL
- Knowledge of Optimizely products and solutions
