We are seeking an exceptional Chief Frontend Software Engineer to lead the strategic transformation of our Chrome extension from Stencil to React, drive the vision for advanced platform development, and define innovative technical strategies within the automotive dealership software industry.

Responsibilities

Set and own long-term technical strategies and define the overall vision for platform scaling and innovation
Develop, oversee, and communicate a comprehensive roadmap for React migration while shaping technical growth plans
Lead research initiatives on emerging technologies and evaluate their impact on automotive software performance
Architect a future-proof, highly scalable platform to enable seamless and robust integration capabilities
Strategize and lead the migration from Stencil Web Components to a React-centric infrastructure rooted in industry excellence
Provide advanced mentorship to senior engineers, fostering best practices while eliminating bottlenecks in development
Own the alignment and optimization of Manifest v3 implementation with React principles for scalable and evolving systems
Define and implement advanced state management strategies using Redux Toolkit/Zustand to ensure system stability and maintainability
Collaborate with executive and product leadership to drive alignment between technical ambitions and organizational goals
Ensure timely delivery of business-critical features while managing milestones for MVP completion and beyond
Prototype and evaluate cutting-edge technical solutions to position the platform as a leader in integrations and emerging tech adoption
Ensure extensibility of APIs and system designs for seamless third-party integrations across an expanding ecosystem
Drive the development of intelligent context-aware systems and user recommendations with scalability considerations
Lead the creation of high-throughput messaging systems to enable consistent communication across all platform points
Establish, enforce, and refine industry-leading development methodologies while expanding reusable libraries and systemic efficiency

Requirements

7+ years of demonstrated expertise with React, showcasing the ability to design and implement at a transformative scale
2+ years of leadership experience (team up to 10 FTEs)
Comprehensive experience architecting high-velocity and scalable frontend frameworks for enterprise software solutions
Expert-level experience with Manifest v3, enterprise-grade Chrome Extension architecture, and system-level complexity
Advanced knowledge of browser-specific APIs such as Tabs, Side Panel, and Storage, with optimization for extension-scale demands
Proven mastery of cross-context messaging workflows using service workers, content scripts, and browser communication channels
Specialist-level skills in frontend performance tuning and scaling for browser extension-specific deployment environments
Ability to inspire iterative workflows and deliver critical functionality on aggressive and dynamic timelines
Adeptness in collaborating across departments to unify technical strategies with overarching business objectives
Proven track record in adapting to high-pressure environments and driving success amidst shifting priorities
English language proficiency at an Advanced level (C1) with exceptional communication abilities
