Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will lead and oversee complex transmission line projects, ensuring they meet client and internal performance indicators. Your focus will be on maintaining schedule and budget performance, enhancing project profitability, and fostering strong client relationships and satisfaction. Quality control and adherence to industry standards will be key aspects of your responsibilities.

The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for performing engineering design on a variety of engineering tasks both independently and with ongoing supervision. The Sr. Project Engineer receives technical guidance, as needed, on new design topics that have not been experienced previously. The Sr. Project Engineer will also oversee the development of projects and assists the Project Manager with work. Leads other engineers on engineering assignments to develop required project deliverables consistent with project goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage transmission line engineering projects ranging from 69kV to 500kV from inception to completion.
• Oversee the creation of computer models of overhead electric transmission lines and structures using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and TOWER.
• Assemble drawings, specifications, and design criteria for the procurement of tubular steel structures, lattice towers, and transmission line hardware.
• Ensure projects meet client specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
• QA/QC of complete transmission line designs.
• Performs engineering reviews and approval of projects prepared by others.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineering and design teams.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.
• Occasional travel for site visits and client meetings as necessary.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in transmission line engineering.
• Must have a PE.
• Proficiency in PLS-CADD and PLS-POLE software. TOWER experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in FAD/LPILE.
• Knowledge of design codes and standards.
• Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects.
• Strong leadership and a passion for mentoring other engineers.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams but also independently.
