Job Description
Are you a skilled backend engineer with specific experience in C# .NET Core applications, looking for an exciting remote opportunity? Entrical wants YOU to join our team! As a leading provider of patented software solutions utilized by state public safety entities, we're embarking on a new phase of growth and innovation.
Since its inception in 2015, our product has seen remarkable success — but now, we're ready to take it to the next level. After several years of third-party management, we're bringing operations and development back in-house. This strategic move is geared towards expanding into new states and implementing exciting new features, including AI and enhanced external integrations.
If you're passionate about making a real impact in public safety technology and thrive in a remote work environment, this is your chance to contribute to something meaningful. Join Entrical and help revolutionize software solutions for law enforcement agencies nationwide.
What we’re looking for
Are you someone who thrives on challenges and self-driven innovation? If so, you're exactly who we're looking for. At Entrical, we value self-starters who embrace learning opportunities beyond their current skill set.
We need someone passionate about delivering cutting-edge, functional backend services that directly support law enforcement operations. You won’t be just writing code — you’ll be helping shape mission-critical integrations used by agencies across the country.
Due to the nature of our work, background investigations are required by each state for accessing sensitive data. While specific requirements vary by state, successful completion of these checks is essential for employment. Rest assured, we prioritize confidentiality and professionalism throughout this process.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll be working exclusively on the backend of LENSS, helping build and maintain the critical services that support law enforcement operations. Your primary responsibility will be designing and building API integrations with third-party law enforcement systems, especially RMS (Records Management Systems), along with parsing data from various State DMV datasets and the FBI CJIS system.
In this role, success means:
We're focused on opening our internal API to external customers for licensing, consolidating our internal development efforts, and expanding our reach to more states. You’ll play a central role in all of it.
We also have AI integration initiatives on the horizon — and the backend services you build now will help form the foundation for that future work.
Required Skills and Experience
We’re looking for a backend-focused developer who’s ready to dive into the heavy lifting behind the scenes of a mission-critical public safety application. You should be confident building robust services in C# and integrating with complex third-party systems.
