Role Description

Location: Remote

Type: Equity-based (with opportunity for future compensation)

This is a part-time fully remote for a Technical Co-founder / Founding Engineer – AI & Data Engineering at EnsegAi. As a Technical Co-founder, you will be responsible for leading AI and data engineering initiatives, developing and optimizing machine learning models, managing data pipelines, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance the platform’s capabilities. You will also provide technical guidance, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure the scalability and reliability of the AI systems.

Responsibilities

• Design & implement agent-based workflows powered by LLMs (OpenAI, Claude, Bedrock)
• Build scalable data integration pipelines from data sources
• Integrate RAG pipelines and vector search for knowledge-based interactions
• Create evaluation frameworks (e.g. prompt testing, hallucination scoring, A/B eval agents)
• Set up backend infra (GCP, Docker, CI/CD) to support rapid prototyping and release

Qualifications

• Strong Analytical Skills and Research experience
• Expertise in AI, machine learning, and data engineering
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience in a leadership role within a tech startup
• Ability to work on-site in the Greater Sydney Area

Required

• Hands-on with LLMs, GenAI frameworks (any of these LangChain, CrewAI, LangGraph, ADK)
• Solid grounding in Python, APIs, and modern data engineering practices
• Experience with embedding models, vector databases.
• Knowledge of prompt tuning, RAG patterns, eval pipelines (JSONL/CSV-based testing)
• Bonus: Experience working on conversational platforms
