Position Overview
Position Application is to join our ENERGY team at ENNOVI. The ENERGY team works to design and develop the HV battery interconnect systems for multiple customers. The Energy team relies heavily on Busbar designs in various EV battery systems of the vehicle. Also works to collaborate with our ENNOVI Power and Signal teams to optimize vehicle solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
• Interact directly with customers to execute the design of HV Battery Interconnect systems (Cell Contacting System) through pre-production phase.
• Work closely with Product Manager, CAD/CAE team, Test & Validation, and Manufacturing Process Engineering personnel to develop and build new CCS applications.
• Create design concepts & work with CAD team to generate detailed component/assembly models and GD&T drawings.
• Work with CAE team to evaluate the CCS design toward meeting the product specifications. The required simulations are not limited to Joule Heating/Ampacity, Modal analysis, Deformation, and Fatigue Thermal/Mechanical analysis.
• Lead cross-functional team to conduct critical design review sessions when needed.
• Drive product compliance testing activities; Own and manage DVP&R, DoE as needed
• Participate in DFM/DFA review sessions.
• Lead cross-functional team to conduct DFMEA.
• Support Manufacturing team with PPAP, product packaging design and functional in-line testing; evaluate other alternative manufacturing process proposals as needed.
Qualifications
• BS in Electro-mechanical or Mechanical Engineering is required. MS is preferred.
• Min 5+ years of relevant experience in HV Battery Systems and/or Energy Storage Systems.
• Proficient in SolidWorks 2022, CATIA V5, or NX software.
• Solid understanding of FEA and CFD thermal analysis.
• Experience in DFMEA, GD&T, Tolerance Stack-up analysis.
• Experience in metal stamping, plastic molding, and dielectric materials selection is a plus.
• Ability to work in a collaborative global team environment.
• High attention to detail is strongly preferred.
• This role will require both domestic and international travel (15% max).
