Mendix Developer

Engineering Industries eXcellence is seeking a highly skilled Mendix Developer / Software Engineer to join our team and lead the development of modern, scalable low-code applications. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Mendix and strong experience building front-end applications, integrating with Siemens MES platforms, and designing robust back-end logic using SQL or similar technologies. This role requires a strong understanding of API development and web services to deliver seamless user experiences and highly functional enterprise systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain applications using the Mendix low-code platform
• Build and enhance front-end user interfaces that are intuitive and responsive
• Develop and implement integrations between Mendix and Siemens MES products
• Create and optimize back-end logic using SQL, scripting, or other database technologies
• Develop and manage RESTful and SOAP web APIs to support data exchange with external systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, architects, and QA engineers
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, technical design, development, testing, and deployment
• Ensure applications meet performance, security, and usability standards
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues throughout development and after deployment
• Stay current with Mendix platform updates and low-code development best practices

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years of professional experience with Mendix low-code development
• Strong experience with front-end development (UI/UX design, styling, responsive layouts)
• Experience integrating Mendix with Siemens MES products (e.g., Opcenter Execution, Teamcenter)
• Proficiency in back-end development including SQL scripting or equivalent technologies
• Solid understanding of API design and integration, including REST and SOAP
• Experience working in agile development environments
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
• U.S. Citizenship (due to client or regulatory requirements)

Preferred

• Mendix certification (Rapid or Advanced Developer)
• Experience with CI/CD tools and automated testing for Mendix applications
• Exposure to cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerized deployments
• Familiarity with manufacturing or industrial automation systems
