Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced blockchain marketing professional to join our team as a senior leader supporting the VP of Marketing. With 7-8+ years of specialized experience the ideal candidate will excel in Web3 growth marketing, particularly in growing engaged communities for a TGE, driving token adoption and ecosystem expansion and working with L1s. This role demands expertise in crypto media relations, securing coverage with top outlets (e.g., CoinDesk, The Block), and proficiency in leveraging analytics tools (e.g., Dune) and platforms (e.g., Telegram, Discord) to build and scale decentralized communities. The candidate will orchestrate high-impact online X Spaces to spotlight the protocol, while crafting compelling, consistent messaging to position the organization as a leader in the blockchain space.

Main Responsibilities

Crypto Media Relations: Cultivate and maintain relationships with crypto journalists, bloggers, and influencers, securing earned media coverage (e.g., CoinDesk, The Block, Decrypt) to boost the protocol’s visibility and credibility.
Strategic Marketing Execution: Design and lead marketing strategies for crypto protocols, driving brand recognition, user growth, and ecosystem expansion while aligning with organizational goals.
Web3 Growth Marketing: Implement growth marketing tactics tailored to Web3, such as referral programs and decentralized incentivization models, to accelerate user acquisition and retention.
Community Building with Tools: Leverage analytics platforms (e.g., Dune, Discord bots, Sentiment) and community tools (e.g., Telegram, Discourse) to grow, engage, and manage decentralized communities, tailoring initiatives to user behavior and feedback.
Online Event Strategy and Execution: Orchestrate online X Spaces to spotlight the protocol, drawing on extensive experience to maximize attendance, engagement, and partnerships within the blockchain community.
Analytics-Driven Optimization: Utilize marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Chainalysis, Mixpanel) to track campaign performance, measure community growth metrics, and refine strategies for token launches, promotions, and adoption drives.
Partnership Amplification: Support in forging and activating marketing agency collaborations and KOLs.
Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner with product, engineering, and leadership teams to synchronize marketing efforts with protocol updates, ensuring technical achievements resonate with the crypto audience.
Industry Expertise: Stay ahead of crypto market trends, Web3 innovations, media landscapes, and community dynamics, using 7-8+ years of blockchain experience to inform cutting-edge, proactive marketing approaches.

Web3 Growth: 7-8+ years of technology/blockchain experience, specializing in Web3 growth marketing and growing engaged communities for Token Generation Events (TGEs), with proven success in driving user acquisition, token adoption, and ecosystem expansion through strategies like airdrops
Crypto Media & Community Acumen: Extensive experience in crypto media relations, securing coverage with top-tier outlets (e.g., CoinDesk, The Block), paired with hands-on skills in scaling decentralized communities using analytics tools (e.g., Dune, Mixpanel) and platforms (e.g., Telegram, Discord).
