Job Overview:

Emagineer, a dynamic umbrella company overseeing multiple brands, including WellBefore.com (a B2C e-commerce site for medical supplies) and MySeema.com (a care navigation service for direct-to-consumer and Medicare clients), is seeking an exceptional Staff Software Developer (AI) to spearhead AI innovation across our portfolio.

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will design and implement cutting-edge AI-driven solutions, elevate operational efficiency, and drive business growth. Beyond delivering results, you will be instrumental in building a local team and establishing a local office in Pakistan, creating a hub of innovation to support Emagineer’s expanding global footprint.

This role requires working hours to overlap with CST (Dallas, TX), ensuring seamless collaboration with teams in the United States.

Key Responsibilities:

AI/ML Strategy and Execution:

• Develop and deploy AI/ML models across Emagineer and its portfolio companies.

• Identify opportunities for AI-driven innovation in healthcare, e-commerce, logistics, and customer experience.

Software Development and Integration:

• Build scalable software systems integrated with AI technologies to drive efficiency and business outcomes.

• Collaborate with teams across brands to seamlessly incorporate AI into operational workflows.

Leadership and Team Building:

• Lead efforts to recruit and manage a talented local development team in Pakistan.

• Establish and oversee a local office, creating a high-performance environment aligned with Emagineer’s standards.

Execution and Innovation:

• Ensure timely delivery of AI initiatives with a focus on speed, execution, and quality.

• Encourage creative thinking and bring out-of-the-box solutions to complex challenges.

Continuous Improvement:

• Stay updated on emerging AI technologies and tools to maintain a competitive edge.

• Optimize AI models for real-world deployment with a focus on scalability and efficiency.

Data Engineering and Business Analytics:

• Develop data pipelines and jobs to get data into our data warehouse (BigQuery) and where ever it's needed.

• Develop dashboards that don't just depict the what, but also try to answer the Why (using AI).

Key Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, AI, Software Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

• Minimum 4 years of software development experience, including at least 3 years of hands-on work in AI/ML.

• Proven track record of deploying AI solutions in production and delivering results in high-pressure environments.

Skills and Competencies:

We are looking for someone who is a software engineer at heart, and has worked significantly on AI-driven solutions. While you don't need to have experience in all of the below, we do value candidates with prior experience or those who have demonstrated that they can pick up any tool quickly:

• AI Experience: Strong prior experience om AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace, LangGraph, etc.. Experience in latest GenAI tools such as OpenAI/Claude/Gemini APIs and tooling, and experience with LLMs and VLMs. Should understand the conceptual workings of such models at a good level and have prior experience developing solutions with those. Experience with modern techniques such as PEFT, RLHF, LoRA, RAG, would be useful.

• Technical Expertise: Proficiency in Python and at least one other language (ideally a compiled language). Experience deploying and managing solutions on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud (GCP preferred). Write clean code and follow language specific and general best practices. Prior experience with Python backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, Django etc.

• Date Analysis and Engineering Experience: Prior experience developing data-oriented solutions such as with databases (SQL, NoSQL, Vector DBs) and with data warehouses such as BigQuery. Prior experience in creating data pipelines such as with Airflow, Prefect, etc. Prior experience with dashboarding on BI tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, etc.

• Software design and development expertise: Software architecture and design experience - previously developed scalable, maintainable, and reliable software.

• Leadership Skills: Experience in recruiting, mentoring, and managing technical teams.

• Execution Focused: Ability to deliver high-quality projects on time in a fast-paced environment.

• Creative Problem-Solving: An entrepreneurial mindset capable of finding innovative solutions to complex challenges.

• Detail-Oriented: Precision in project planning, coding, and execution.
