About the Role

We’re looking for a Gameplay Programmer to join our team to help bring Pera Coda’s world to life. You’ll collaborate closely with designers, artists, and technical leads to craft gameplay systems, puzzles, and interactive storytelling elements that define the player experience.

This is an in-person position based in Istanbul, offering the chance to work with a talented, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain core gameplay systems & features in Unreal Engine 5 (C++ & Blueprints)
• Script and implement gameplay events, interactive sequences, and mission logic using Unreal Engine tools and existing gameplay frameworks
• Collaborate with design and art teams to prototype and polish gameplay features
• Develop and refine puzzle mechanics, dialogue interactions, and camera/AI systems
• Prepare documentation for strong internal collaboration
• Optimize performance and ensure smooth player experience across all systems
• Debug, refactor, and maintain clean, scalable, and efficient code
• Contribute ideas that enhance storytelling and immersion through gameplay

Desired Skills & Experience

• 2+ years of professional experience in gameplay programming in Unreal Engine 4/5
• Strong understanding of game logic, player state, and event-driven systems
• Experience with AI, UI (UMG/Slate), Animation, Data-Driven Architecture, Physics, & RPG frameworks are preferable
• Familiarity with popular frameworks including GAS (Gameplay Ability System), Lyra, & CommonUI is a plus
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, iterative environment
• Strong passion for narrative-driven games, mystery, and world-building
• Fluent in both English and Turkish, with strong communication skills
