About the Role
We are seeking a UI/UX Designer to join the Learn Team within ELSA’s AI Department — a cross-functional team shaping the future of learning experiences across ELSA product ecosystem.
You’ll design intuitive, motivating, and data-informed learning interfaces, working closely with Learning Experience Designers, AI engineers, and Product Managers. The ideal candidate combines strong UX design skills with an understanding of learning design and pedagogy, creating user journeys that are not only beautiful but also educationally effective.
Key Responsibilities
1. Learning-Focused UX & Product Design
- Design and prototype learner journeys and interfaces that make complex language learning goals feel simple, rewarding, and intuitive.
- Apply learning experience principles to enhance engagement, flow, and comprehension.
- Conduct user research, usability testing, and data analysis to inform design decisions and improve learning outcomes.
2. Collaboration Across AI, Product, and Learning
- Work closely with Learning Experience Designers to translate pedagogical goals into user-centered product features.
- Partner with AI and Product teams to design experiences that integrate real-time feedback, personalization, and adaptive learning.
- Create design systems and guidelines to ensure consistent, high-quality learner experiences across platforms.
3. Data-Driven Design & Iteration
- Use quantitative and qualitative data (engagement metrics, completion rates, UX tests) to measure and improve design effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the analytics and AI teams to visualize learner progress and feedback in meaningful ways.
- Iterate rapidly using tools like Figma, Figjam, Looker or Amplitude to validate design hypotheses.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in UI/UX Design, HCI, Interaction Design, Educational Technology, or a related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in UI/UX, product design, or learning design, ideally in EdTech, SaaS, or mobile-first environments.
- Proven ability to prototype, test, and iterate learning-focused interfaces in tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Experience designing data-informed and user-centered workflows.
- Familiarity with learning psychology, instructional design principles, or digital education environments.
- Excellent visual design, communication, and storytelling skills.
Preferred
- Experience designing AI-powered or adaptive learning systems.
- Familiarity with language learning products or communication training.
- Understanding of localization and accessibility in global markets.
- Basic skills in motion design or micro-interaction prototyping.
