C++ Software Engineer

Elevate Partners are partnered with a globally recognised high-frequency trading firm that is continuing to expand its engineering function in Dublin.

This is an opportunity to join a world-class engineering team responsible for designing and developing highly performant, low-latency systems that underpin a global trading platform. The environment is fast-paced, collaborative and engineering-led, with a strong focus on technical excellence, performance optimisation and modern software development practices.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and optimise high-performance software using Modern C++ (C++17/20).

  • Build scalable, low-latency systems with a focus on performance, reliability and efficiency.

  • Work closely with highly skilled engineers to solve complex technical challenges.

  • Continuously improve system performance through profiling, optimisation and performance tuning.

  • Contribute to the design and architecture of mission-critical trading infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience developing software in Modern C++ (C++17/20 or later).

  • Excellent understanding of multithreading, concurrency and object-oriented design.

  • Strong knowledge of Linux development environments.

  • Experience building high-performance or low-latency systems.

  • A solid understanding of algorithms, data structures and software engineering fundamentals.

  • Exposure to high-frequency trading, electronic trading or other latency-sensitive environments would be highly advantageous.
