Senior Software Engineer (.NET / Full Stack)

Position Summary
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will take a lead role in enhancing the stability, performance, and functionality of medical software solutions developed by a leader in the healthcare space. This position focuses on triaging complex software bugs, addressing escalated customer issues, implementing new feature enhancements, and integrating third-party tools and services.
You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless software delivery, ongoing product improvement, and support of mission-critical systems. While security awareness and adherence to cybersecurity best practices are desirable, your primary focus will be on keeping our software robust, efficient, and responsive to evolving user needs.
Primary Responsibilities
- Bug Triage & Escalations
- Take ownership of triaging and resolving complex software defects and stability issues in production and development environments.
- Collaborate with QA, Product, and Customer Support teams to assess, prioritize, and resolve customer-reported issues.
- Use diagnostic tools, logs, and data to identify root causes and implement scalable, sustainable fixes.
- Feature Enhancements & Product Evolution
- Work with product managers and stakeholders to scope, design, and implement enhancements and new features.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of UI/UX across applications using modern front-end frameworks.
- Apply design patterns and best practices to ensure scalability and maintainability of enhancements.
- Third-party Integrations
- Lead the integration of external services and tools into our applications, including APIs, authentication providers, and data platforms.
- Ensure third-party dependencies are up-to-date, secure, and compliant with performance and compatibility requirements.
- Performance & Stability Optimization
- Continuously monitor, analyze, and improve application performance and system stability.
- Conduct performance benchmarking, profiling, and optimization at both code and infrastructure levels.
- Contribute to a proactive stability roadmap, helping prevent issues before they reach end users.
- Agile Software Development
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of an Agile development team.
- Deliver high-quality code through test-driven development, code reviews, and collaborative engineering practices.
- Write and maintain unit, integration, and automated tests to support CI/CD pipelines.
- Cross-functional Collaboration
- Partner with UI/UX, QA, Product, and DevOps teams to ensure seamless product development and release.
- Mentor junior developers, contribute to documentation, and promote knowledge sharing across the team.
Secondary (Nice-to-Have) Responsibilities
- Cybersecurity & Secure Coding
- Awareness of secure coding practices and ability to contribute to secure software design.
- Participate in security-focused initiatives like vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and risk analysis.
- Support regulatory compliance documentation and standards relevant to healthcare software and devices.
Minimum Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field (Master’s Degree preferred).
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in full-stack software development with emphasis on debugging, enhancements, and support.
- Experience in an Agile/Scrum environment delivering high-quality software in iterative sprints.
Preferred Skills & Technologies
- Backend: .NET Core/Framework, C#, RESTful APIs, SQL
- Frontend: JavaScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap, Tailwind
- DevOps/Tooling: Git, Docker, CI/CD pipelines, performance monitoring tools
- Database: SQL Server, PostgreSQL, document stores (MongoDB, etc.)
- Experience with third-party APIs, SDKs, and integrations
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to operate independently under minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Bonus / Nice-to-Have
- Experience in cybersecurity or secure software development practices
- Exposure to fuzz testing, penetration testing, or CVSS scoring
- Familiarity with medical device or healthcare software regulations
