We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated ServiceNow Developer/Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform and is eager to take ownership of configuration tasks. As a ServiceNow Developer, you will design, develop, configure, and customize ServiceNow applications and services to meet our business needs, delivering high-quality functionality across the platform.
This position requires an individual who is capable of owning most of the configuration work on the platform and working closely with both the development and platform administration teams. You will support the entire development lifecycle, from design to deployment, and assist with incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities:
- ServiceNow Application Development & Configuration: Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow applications and services. Customize out-of-the-box functionality when necessary to meet specific business requirements.
- New Functionality Delivery: Drive the delivery of new functionality across ServiceNow applications, ensuring that solutions align with business needs and industry best practices.
- Lifecycle Support: Provide support across the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design through testing, deployment, and post-deployment support.
- Platform Assistance: Collaborate with the platform administrator in the resolution of incidents, ensuring that issues are addressed quickly and efficiently while minimizing disruptions to service delivery.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams including ITSM, business stakeholders, and platform administrators to ensure that solutions are aligned with business objectives.
- Maintenance & Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and actively contribute to platform optimization efforts, ensuring the platform remains scalable and efficient.
Skills & Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Expertise: Proficiency in ServiceNow development, configuration, and administration. Experience with ServiceNow modules such as ITSM, ITOM, and HRSD is a plus.
- Development Skills: Strong knowledge of JavaScript, ServiceNow's scripting capabilities (Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, etc.), and ServiceNow’s configuration and customization tools.
- Incident Resolution: Ability to assist in resolving platform incidents and working closely with administrators to provide technical support when needed.
- Collaboration: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and departments to deliver solutions and ensure successful project outcomes.
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot, debug, and solve complex technical issues.
- Desired Experience:
- Previous experience in a ServiceNow development or engineering role, including hands-on experience with ServiceNow configurations and customizations.
- Experience with ServiceNow integrations and APIs.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes and how they align with ServiceNow applications.
- Exposure to ServiceNow platform upgrades, maintenance, and administration tasks.
Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer or similar certifications are a plus.
