About the Role

We are looking for a highly motivated Software Developer to support and enhance our core insurance administration and proposal systems, primarily built on Microsoft Access and SQL Server.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment on both new development and legacy system support.
• Analyze business and technical problems and develop accurate work estimates.
• Deliver reliable, maintainable, and high-quality code using Microsoft Access, VBA, and SQL Server.
• Utilize SSIS/SSRS for reporting and data integration tasks.
• Adhere to company standards and contribute to process improvement.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
• Document systems, code changes, and processes clearly and effectively.
• Foster strong working relationships across teams, vendors, and stakeholders.

Success Metrics

• On-time and on-budget delivery of features and fixes
• Accuracy and performance of reports and integrations (SSRS/SSIS)
• Reduction in production issues through quality code and testing
• Team collaboration and responsiveness in Agile ceremonies

Who You Are

• 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Access and VBA
• Proficient in SQL Server, with hands-on SSIS/SSRS skills preferred
• Background in Agile/Scrum delivery environments
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Insurance industry experience is a huge plus
• Comfortable working with sensitive data and complying with security standards
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and committed to delivering quality software
