Role overview
We’re seeking a proactive, passionate, and detail-oriented SaaS Product Designer to own the design experience across our products. You’ll play a critical role in translating complex business and technical requirements into intuitive, user-friendly interfaces. From early discovery to final handoff, you’ll collaborate closely with Product Managers, Engineers, and QA to ensure every interaction feels purposeful, scalable, and aligned with our mission. This is an opportunity to shape digital experiences that power the future of EV infrastructure and clean energy adoption.
Only interested in mobile or SaaS platform designs, if you only have experience in website designs, this role might not be relevant for you.
Please provide a direct link to your portfolio website or Figma prototype that showcases your best work. We’re specifically looking for:
- At least one end-to-end project involving a React Native app or responsive web platform
- Clear articulation of your role, especially in cross-functional settings
- Evidence of working within a design system, handling data-heavy interfaces, or designing for accessibility and responsiveness
Please record a Loom (or similar screen recording tool) where you walk us through one EV-related or infrastructure-style project you’ve worked on — ideally a live product or internal tool in a similar domain.
Your walkthrough should clearly cover:
- The problem you were solving — context, user type, business goals.
- Your process — how you moved from research to design; any collaboration with product or engineering.
- Key challenges — technical or UX constraints and how you approached them.
- Final outcome — what you delivered, and if possible, metrics or feedback from the launch.
Please highlight and attach both links in your resume.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of the UX/UI lifecycle, from concept development to final handover to the facilities or development team upon project completion
- Collaborate closely with product and engineering teams to map all user journeys, ensuring interface logic strictly aligns with defined business and technical requirements
- Design intuitive interfaces that enable users to navigate complex enterprise systems with clarity
- Create high-quality, responsive designs and polished micro-interactions across both mobile and web platforms, adhering to WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards
- Translate user needs, technical constraints and business requirements into fully annotated user flows, wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes
- Help develop and actively maintain a robust design system and atomic component library to ensure consistency, scalability and efficient handoff
- Contribute to QA and developer collaboration by validating the visual accuracy and usability of features before production release
What You’ll Bring
- A proven track record with 5+ years of experience designing digital products within technical, infrastructure-heavy environments— in the EV, energy, or clean tech sectors
- Strong experience crafting intuitive, user-first interfaces for customer-facing React Native apps (iOS and Android), alongside responsive web platforms
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills—you thrive in cross-functional teams and are confident working closely with Product Managers, Engineers and QA in a fully remote setup
- A well-curated portfolio that demonstrates not just polished visuals, but clear, strategic design thinking, particularly across mobile and web experiences
- Mastery of Figma as your primary design tool, with working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or similar platforms for asset creation or ideation
- Deep expertise in UX design principles, with hands-on application of responsive layouts, accessibility standards (WCAG), and iterative usability testing
- Comfort with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for prototyping and collaborating effectively with engineering teams
- A genuine passion for climate impact and innovation, with a keen interest in EV technologies, sustainable mobility, or digital solutions for carbon reduction
Why Join Electric Miles?
- We’re not just another tech company. We’re building the digital foundation of a cleaner, smarter energy future. Our team is curious, inclusive, and passionate about creating impact through design.
