About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Analyst to join our Insights & Analytics team at Elastic. In this strategic role, you will influence how our global Revenue teams leverage data to make informed decisions, plan for growth, and focus on key business priorities.
The position combines strategic thinking, hands-on data analysis, and cross-functional collaboration. You will work closely with teams across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, and more, transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights. Your work will involve developing dashboards, reports, and analytical deep dives that support revenue growth, pipeline optimization, and sales effectiveness. This role is pivotal in shaping Elastic's go-to-market strategies and ensuring data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Qualifications
- 6+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, preferably in a high-impact, fast-paced environment
- Strong proficiency in SQL, with experience in BigQuery preferred
- Experience with data modeling and transformation tools such as dbt
- Proficiency in data visualization tools like Tableau or Power BI
- Experience working with Salesforce or similar CRM and sales data tools
- Comfortable using Google Sheets for quick data requests and ad hoc analysis
- Understanding of B2B SaaS environments and sales/post-sales data workflows
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex data insights clearly and effectively
- Experience with predictive analytics and data architecture is a plus
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain scalable dashboards and analytical tools using SQL, dbt, and Tableau to support business decision-making
- Analyze complex datasets to answer critical business questions and translate insights into actionable recommendations
- Handle ad hoc data requests efficiently in Google Sheets, ensuring alignment with strategic goals
- Provide clear and accurate reporting to senior leadership, including executive and board-level reports
- Identify data anomalies, validate findings, and explore root causes to ensure data integrity
- Take ownership of projects from inception to completion, managing scope, timelines, and priorities independently
- Collaborate across teams and time zones, ensuring data consistency and alignment across various sources and tools
- Proactively identify and resolve data issues by partnering with data engineering and other relevant teams
- Contribute to the development of scalable data models and reporting frameworks that support long-term business growth
- Lead strategic initiatives that influence sales strategies, pipeline management, and revenue optimization
- Stay current with industry best practices and continuously enhance analytical skills and tools
