About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer with at least 5 years of experience, who must have excellent problem-solving skills, a solid understanding of data structures, and a deep knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).

You will primarily work on a complex solution built on top of the Chromium project. This means you should be a proficient C++ developer capable of writing efficient, clean, and maintainable C++ code with strong debugging skills.

While Chromium code is primarily written in C++, you will also need the ability to work across other areas of the product. Proficiency in other imperative programming languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript is highly desirable. We use Git as our version control system, so you must be familiar with Git basics to collaborate effectively with the rest of the team.

In addition to our main product built on Chromium, we maintain an ecosystem of services developed in various languages. Your growth within the team can depend on your ability to work across all our products and contribute to their development. While not mandatory for initial success, familiarity with programming languages such as HTML, CSS, Java, Rust, or Perl, as well as tools like GN (Generate Ninja), the Ninja Build System, and Gclient, would be beneficial for long-term growth within the team.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
• Expertise in C++ development, with strong debugging skills.
• Solid understanding of data structures and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Familiarity with Git for version control and collaborative workflows.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other imperative programming languages such as C#, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
