Principal Software Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on Engineering Manager to lead the technical vision and execution of Eggmed’s EHR platform. This role combines strategic leadership with deep technical involvement, ensuring delivery of high-quality, secure, and scalable healthcare solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture and roadmap of Eggmed’s EHR platform (built with React, Node.js, GraphQL, and AWS).

• Ensure system security, compliance, and scalability, particularly in areas involving patient data and communications.

• Collaborate with stakeholders (product, design, operations, and medical experts) to define and deliver features.

• Drive agile processes, development cycles, and a culture of continuous improvement.

• Actively contribute code across the stack, leading by example in building scalable, secure features.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in full-stack development with a focus on modern JavaScript/TypeScript ecosystems.

• Proven experience in leading engineering teams, preferably in early-stage startups or healthcare/regulated environments.

• Deep expertise in React, Node.js, GraphQL, and building RESTful APIs.

• Experience building or contributing to secure systems (e.g., WebRTC, encrypted communication, HIPAA or GDPR-compliant workflows).

• Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.

• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills.

• Familiarity with mobile development using React Native.

• Experience in healthcare or digital health/EHR platforms.
