Software Engineer (Cloud&Networking)

Our client, a leading cloud and colocation provider operating its own data centers, delivers advanced technology services across more than 30 countries in Europe and the United States. They are currently looking for a Software Engineer specializing in Cloud and Networking.

Location: Remote (Romania)

Responsibilities:

• Support the development of a high-performance cloud platform based on OpenStack, with a focus on networking (e.g., Neutron, OVS/OVN, Arista, Calico);
• Conduct detailed troubleshooting and root cause analysis to identify sustainable solutions;
• Ensure efficient automation and continuous optimization of technical process workflows;
• Create and maintain professional documentation, as well as integrate monitoring and logging to ensure stable platform operations;
• Be part of a motivated team that continuously strives for improvements and evolves both individually and collectively.

Skills & Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with Software Defined Networking technologies such as OVS/OVN and Calico;
• Solid experience with Linux/Linux Kernel and Kubernetes;
• You have experience in programming and scripting in C++ or Python;
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with a structured approach to diagnosing and resolving issues;
• Experience with virtualization and containerization environments and understand their practical applications.
