The BMS / Controls Program Manager will be a vital member of the North American division of Edged Data Centers. We are looking for someone who has experience and the ability to design, develop, commission and maintain Data Center critical infrastructure control systems. This role involves ensuring that all systems such as the building management system (BMS) and electrical power monitoring system (EPMS) and any system used to operate HVAC systems, power distribution, and cooling systems operate efficiently, reliably and in compliance with industry standards and regulations. This role will work closely with cross-functional teams such as Network/IT, engineering design, construction, and facility maintenance to develop new processes and ensure efficient operation of data center facilities.

Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
Manage, onboard and lead the BMS contractors, Control system integrators and control installation contractors throughout all phases of the project.
Establish a vision and goal for the BMS systems and controls program across all sites. Ensure consistency, standardization, reliability and functionality meets product goals.
Develop a BMS Playbook. The playbook will provide guidance for Build out of programs, PLC set up and operation of BMS type systems to include BMS, PMS and EPMS along with any HVAC controls.
We have a variety of control systems across various sites so broad experience programming and configuration commissioning will be highly advantageous. Systems include and not limited to Tridium Niagara Front-End Software, Niagara Connect Centralization tools, Distech Controls Hardware, Power Quality Metering, Communication protocol. Proven experience with data collection and conversion software will be highly regarded, as will exposure to DDC, PLC, DCS debugging and programming.
Perform BMS inspections (wiring, installation, and commissioning) and validate the status/progress of the projects including supporting the project teams, both internal and external, starting from the early stages of MEP construction by working with project level Construction Managers (both internal and external) to check the health of the project (including schedule).
Support incident management on breakdowns associated with BMS systems and or controls.
Work with project level Construction Managers, QA/QC Site leads and General Contractor's to ensure creation, accuracy and maintenance of logic driven schedule for construction, commissioning, and packaged equipment BMS activities.
Coordinate equipment factory installed controls audits and BMS commissioning to ensure specification/requirement are being adhered and manage correction of all identified deficiencies.
Rounded and extensive experience monitoring, operating and Configuring controls systems, an ability to understand and implement controls strategies and architecture, specifically for large scale Distributed Data Center.
Ensure EPMS & SCADA systems are operating as designed to protect the data center, capture power usage, calculate available capacity, and provide meaningful, timely alarms, notifications, and reports to end users.
Configuration of EPMS system applications in support of new data center deployments, new data requirements, and data center retrofits.
Prepare and maintain EPMS & BMS systems support documentation, test plans, Emergency Operating Procedures and change management records.
Implement corporate Standard Operating policies, and Specific Methods of Procedure Documentation and site Operations Implementation, to maximize the performance of systems, applications, and networks.
Work with the CMMS Manager to develop preventative maintenance activities, and controls to manage the BMS hardware and systems.
Coordinate field work as required including any necessary contractor scheduling & supervision.
Manage alarming for Maintenance Procedures.
Work closely with co-workers, maintenance personnel, project managers, building managers, engineers, and contractors on site-specific projects.
Participate in on-call duty; to include providing off-hour emergency support as needed.
Lead maintenance and modification of controls on equipment to facilitate more efficient operation.
Ability to work flexible hours and travel to other Edged Data Center facilities may be required.
Skills & Requirements:
Specific Skills / Abilities
Tridium Niagara.
Knowledge of BAS/BMS/EPMS/SCADA and PLC systems.
Understanding of Control network implementation.
Working knowledge of virtualized environments.
Familiarity with 5 Levels to Data Center Commissioning & Testing
Working knowledge of Centralized Tridium Niagara Connect systems.
Two or more years of experience with various Industrial Control Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) such as Distech, LoRa WAN Wireless sensors , Schneider Modicom, Siemens S7, etc.
Experience performing commissioning, qualification & change control activities related to BMS including but not limited to HVAC, chiller plants, domestic and process water systems, building automation systems, etc.
Ability to read, interpret, and produce engineering documents that may include: SLD, Control Drawings, Sequence of Operations, Bill of Materials, Graphical User Interface requirements, and Functional Specifications.
Experience with BAC-net, Modbus IP, TCP/IP configuration, SNMP communication protocols, Active Directory security and Microsoft Office tools.
Understanding of basic power calculations on single and 3-phase circuits, electrical diagrams, control diagrams
The United States targeted base salary pay range for this position is: $140,000 - $165,000 + bonus (this range will vary by location)
