The Mission

You’ll join NavonaAI as an early software engineer, working closely with the founders and product/engineering team. You’ll build and scale our SaaS product for e-commerce stores, taking ownership across the full stack—from designing and developing features to integrating with major platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.). You’ll have direct impact, broad responsibility, and a say in both technical and product decisions.

What you’ll do

• Build and ship full-stack features from scratch using React/Next.js and Node.js/NestJS
• Integrate with Shopify and other e-commerce APIs to power our core product
• Design, set up, and manage our databases (Postgres, Redis)
• Work side by side with the founders and technical product owner to turn ideas into live features
• Set up and improve CI/CD, monitoring, and deployment pipelines (primarily AWS; you’ll learn as you go)
• Take full ownership of your work and see its direct impact on customers
• Help shape the roadmap based on user and team feedback
• Drive improvements in code quality, architecture, and engineering processes
• Move between front-end, back-end, and integration tasks as needed in a fast-paced, early-stage environment
• Enjoy autonomy to make decisions and drive projects forward with minimal oversight
• Potential to grow into a lead role as the team expands

Technical Requirements (Must-Have)

• Build, launch, and iterate on features across React/Next.js, Node.js/NestJS, and PostgreSQL
• Demonstrated experience shipping production software (3+ years)
• Design, develop, and maintain APIs and scalable database schemas
• Deploy, monitor, and support production systems on AWS
• Strong Git, CI/CD, and code quality practices
• Thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment and take ownership without micromanagement
• Make technical decisions independently and propose solutions, not just code tasks
• Proactively communicate progress, blockers, and ideas to a distributed team
• Excellent communicator in both Arabic and English

Bonus Points (Nice-to-Have)

• Experience with GCP or Azure
• Experience with MongoDB
• Integrated with e-commerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, BigCommerce)
• Experience developing Shopify apps or similar e-commerce integrations
• Experience with ClickHouse, Kafka, or Segment
• SaaS or analytics experience for e-commerce
