UI Designer (Web / App / Email)
- Remote – Must reside in Hawaii, Texas, New Jersey, California, Washington, or Oregon (per contract requirements)
- W2 Only, No C2C
Position Summary:
We’re seeking a seasoned Experience Designer, UI to join our Experience Design team, someone who can bring exceptional visual craft, motion design, and technical execution across web, app, and email surfaces. In this role, you’ll lead the creation and optimization of “in-world” experiences, building cohesive, high-quality designs that move seamlessly between marketing emails, digital interfaces, and interactive touchpoints. You’ll combine design systems thinking, motion sensibility, and production-level detail to ensure every pixel and interaction is both beautiful and bulletproof.
Requirements:
- Design and deliver production-ready UI for marketing emails, landing pages, and web/app interfaces.
- Build responsive HTML/CSS (or MJML) assets that perform flawlessly across browsers, devices, and clients.
- Drive visual and motion design excellence—crafting animations (GIF/APNG/CSS/Lottie) that enhance clarity and storytelling.
- Create and maintain a reusable design system (tokens, components, documentation) aligned with brand and development frameworks.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with creative, copy, product/MarTech, and development teams to ensure design intent carries through implementation.
- QA and refine work using testing platforms like Litmus, Email on Acid, and browser/device testing tools to validate rendering and accessibility.
- Uphold governance standards: accessibility, performance budgets, responsive behavior, and tracking consistency.
- Apply insights from A/B testing and analytics to inform ongoing optimization.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years of UI/visual design experience across web, app, and/or email.
- Portfolio demonstrating pixel-perfect, interactive, and code-accurate UI work.
- Mastery of Figma (components, variants, auto-layout) and Adobe CC.
- Strong knowledge of responsive and adaptive design principles, accessibility, and performance optimization.
- Hands-on experience building and QA’ing HTML/CSS or MJML for cross-client compatibility (Outlook, Gmail, Apple Mail, etc.).
- Proven ability to design for motion and interactivity—using GIFs, CSS, or Lottie with clear fallback strategies.
- Familiarity with design systems, ESP/MarTech platforms (SFMC, Braze, Iterable), and collaborative handoff tools.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with AMP for Email, web animations, or component libraries shared across surfaces.
- Understanding of privacy, tracking, and platform constraints affecting digital design.
- Knowledge of front-end frameworks (React, Vue) or design token methodologies.
How Success Will Be Measured:
- Quality and rendering accuracy across email, web, and app clients.
- Increased adoption and scalability of design systems.
- Performance metrics (load time, accessibility, and engagement).
- Positive impact on key conversion and engagement outcomes.
Portfolio Required:
- Include examples of interactive, responsive, and motion-rich designs—ideally showing cross-surface consistency (web, app, and email).
