Position Title: Senior Software Engineer

Location Information Remote

This is a 6 month contract for hire

No C2C - W2 only

Position Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a leading role in the design, development, and implementation of key software systems and platforms. You will drive both front-end and back-end software development efforts, primarily within an AWS-hosted environment. You will support the evolution and deployment of AI initiatives across the organization—contributing significantly to the development and integration of agentic AI tools, policies, and agents to enhance productivity and position the platform within the emerging agentic landscape. In addition, you will be part of the team strategy on security, particularly as it relates to advancements in AI, ensuring the company remains agile in the face of evolving security challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

• Delivering robust front-end and back-end software solutions for cloud-based environments (AWS).
• Participating in the assessment, selection, and rollout of AI models, tools, and agentic AI systems to business teams.
• Assisting in the formulation and implementation of AI development, deployment, and security strategies, including the use of new AI-powered features in production applications.
• Staying current with emerging technology and security landscapes, especially as they pertain to AI.
• Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to translate complex technical goals into actionable projects that serve broader business requirements.
• Documenting solutions and sharing technical knowledge with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Essential Skills, Experience

• Professional Experience: 10+ years of multi-discipline experience in software engineering, ideally with a background in technology consulting and business solutioning. Minimum 5–8 years direct hands-on industry development experience.
• AI & Machine Learning:
• Proven experience with AI development tools, strong foundation in AI/ML concepts, and the ability to implement/assess AI models.
• Solid math foundation (calculus, linear algebra, statistics, and probability).
• Familiarity with generative AI and LLM concepts (RAG, prompt engineering, fine-tuning/LoRA, embedding/vector search technologies, agent/tool integration).
• Knowledge of Python ML stack: NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, SciPy, Matplotlib/Seaborn, TensorFlow/Keras, XGBoost/LightGBM, Jupyter. Experience with platforms like Hugging Face Transformers, OpenAI API, and frameworks such as LangChain/LangGraph.
• Experience building or integrating AI-powered features into production systems.
• Frontend Development (React):
• Deep expertise in React ecosystem, including state management (useState, useReducer, Context API, Redux, Zustand), routing, lifecycle management, memoization, custom hooks, Suspense/lazy loading, error boundaries, and ref handling.
• Experience with best practices in component architecture, controlled/uncontrolled components, and performance optimization.
• Backend Development (Python):
• Advanced proficiency with Python core language features: comprehensions, generators, decorators, context managers, type hints, OOP paradigms, use of lambda/functional programming, concurrency models (threading, multiprocessing, asyncio), and virtual environment management tools.
• Testing expertise using pytest, unittest, and mocking frameworks.
• Agentic AI Systems & Developer Tooling:
• Experience with AI-assisted development tooling, agentic coding workflows, code generation/review, agent architecture design, multi-agent orchestration, and autonomous task execution.
• Applied knowledge of integrating AI models into development pipelines or developer-facing tools.
• Security, Auth, & Infrastructure:
• Awareness of modern security practices, especially in the application of AI.
• Knowledge of secure coding practices (OWASP Top 10), input validation, dependency vulnerability management, OAuth 2.0/OIDC, JWT, RBAC/ABAC, API key and secrets management.
• Experience with HTTPS/TLS, CORS, CSP, secure environment variables, and cloud infrastructure policies.
• Soft Skills: Demonstrated curiosity, strong verbal/written/organizational abilities, and capacity to translate technical ideas for non-technical audiences. Commitment to team collaboration and knowledge-sharing, especially in rapidly evolving domains such as AI.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field—or equivalent professional experience.
• Proven track record of successful collaboration in cross-disciplinary technology teams.
