Eaton’s Power Components Division (PCD) is currently seeking a MV Integration Engineer to join the team. This role can be remote within the United States or based at our facility in Moon Township, PA. The position requires up to 25% travel to customer locations in the Americas Region.

The expected annual salary range for this role is $97000 - $143000 a year.

What You’ll Do
This role will provide 5-38 kV Metal-Clad switchgear design support to Power Components Division (PCD) customers. Enhance and maintain the OEM Drawing Portal and interpret customer specifications. You will increase customer demand for PCD Products by demonstrating the PCD Value Propositions associated with product and industry application expertise.
You will analyze customer designs and provide feedback on how to improve the designs to ensure a better success rate at passing testing, as well as analyze customer testing data, arrange in a meaningful manner and present findings with possible solutions.
Essential Functions
Subject Matter Expertise: Demonstrate subject matter expert role by providing customers meaningful feedback on what they need to do with their designs to improve their passing success during testing. Further the expert role by analyzing their test data and showing them how to gleam meaningful information to focus their efforts in the right areas. Demonstrating knowledge of 5-38 kV Arc Resistant and Non-Arc Resistant Metal-Clad and Metal-Enclosed Switchgear designs, testing, production, and standards knowledge as they relate to development of new switchgear platforms. Demonstrate comprehensive PCD product knowledge; product function, customer/industry application, troubleshooting, and global standards as they apply to PCD Product application and selection. Sustain differentiation through enhancing knowledge base of product engineering technologies, competitor capabilities and practices. Control and verify all marketing collateral and project technical specifications.
Customer Engagement: Develop customer UL presentations to lay out the fastest method to obtain the broadest rating product offering with the least amount of testing. Assist with discussions with certifying bodies to best understand results and standards requirements. Develop customer UL procedures so that they can start using Eaton products faster. Provide pre- and post-sale customer technical support for external and internal customers in the Americas Region.
Technical Content Development: Develop and maintain technical content for OEM handbooks and web tools, with support of 5-38 kV breaker and switchgear engineering, to integrate products into PCD Customer applications. Provide technical content for marketing communications collateral.
Sales & Marketing Team Collaboration: Support sales and marketing on technical aspects of product applications, and interpreting customer product specifications, and drawing requirements.
What will make you successful?
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of 5–38 kV circuit breakers, switchgear, applicable standards, and product applications, along with experience creating and updating UL product files. You excel at reviewing electrical bid specifications, interpreting one line diagrams, and providing accurate product recommendations supported by strong problem solving and troubleshooting abilities. You communicate effectively across all customer and internal stakeholder levels and are self motivated and driven to provide industry leading customer service.
