Eaton’s Electrical Sector is hiring an APAC Engineering Functional Excellence leader in Shenzhen/Shanghai.
What You’ll Do
Qualifications
Master's degree in a relevant Science, Engineering, Technology or Maths field (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Science, Maths, Computer Science etc).
Minimum 10 years of experience working across engineering, operations and manufacturing, supply chain and sales, with a proven track record influencing across the end-to-end product development process.
Must be intimately familiar with Six Sigma and Continuous Improvement methodologies with experience in successfully deploying these initaitives.
Equally important are deep technical knowledge, understanding the complexities of engineering across multiple technologies and R&D management.
Must be comfortable working across functional boundaries and organization structures and have a good influencing and change management skills.
Requires broad foundational technical expertise across areas such as power distribution, power quality and electronics.
Solid understanding of and ability to assess and deploy enterprise IT systems, applications and solutions.
Proven ability to leverage cutting edge technologies like HIL and model based design to drive operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Strong working knowledge of DFSS deployment and governance (including training/coaching and project rigor), and foundational understanding of reliability engineering and validation expectations to support APAC DQ&RE governance.
Familiar with core DFSS methodology elements such as Voice of Customer/CTQ, risk management, test & validate, and robust launch.

Manage multi-disciplinary teams with strong professional presence, with ability to decisively advocate for innovative program concepts.
Strong coaching and facilitation skills to drive method adoption (DFSS/DQ&RE) through influence rather than authority.
