Salesforce Business Analyst / Product Owner with Zuora exp

The Role

We are seeking a hybrid BA/PO to drive the evolution of our subscription management and commercial software scaling. You will sit at the intersection of Business Operations and IT, managing the transition from Zuora to SAP BRIM and NextGen Subscription Management. This role is 70% business-focused (strategy/process) and 30% technical (integrations/data mapping).

Key Responsibilities

Subscription Roadmap: Lead the enhancement of current Zuora workflows while architecting the migration strategy to SAP BRIM and NextGen platforms.

Systems Integration: Act as the functional lead for complex integrations between Salesforce (SFDC), Zuora, and SAP, ensuring seamless lead-to-cash cycles.

Migration Execution: Document "as-is" Zuora processes and "to-be" BRIM requirements; oversee data mapping and UAT (User Acceptance Testing) for the migration.

Product Ownership: Manage the backlog for CCM (Customer Care Management) Informatics, prioritizing features that drive revenue and improve the subscriber experience.

Qualifications

Domain Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience with Zuora (billing, collections, and subscription lifecycle) is mandatory.

SAP BRIM: Proven implementation or migration knowledge of SAP BRIM (formerly SAP Hybris Billing).

Technical Literacy: Ability to understand API integrations and data schemas (30% technical focus); must be comfortable "talking shop" with developers.

Commercial Context: Experience in the life sciences or SaaS space, specifically commercializing high-compute software like DRAGEN.

Stakeholder Management: Ability to navigate shared responsibilities between Informatics and Corporate Commercial teams.

Technical Stack

Core: Zuora, SAP BRIM, NextGen Subscription Management.

Ecosystem: Salesforce (CRM), SAP (ERP), ICM, DRAGEN.

Position Summary

Analyzes complex business problems to be solved with automated systems. Identifies gaps and provides technical expertise in business requirements for system functional specifications and scales new and current systems, processes and procedures in a cost-effective manner. Configures system settings and options; plans and executes unit, integration and acceptance testing to meet business requirements. Designs details of automated systems. Provide consultation to users in automated systems. Lead cross-functional linked teams to address business or systems issues. Be client-focused, working in conjunction with Professional Services and Outsourcing functions.

Job Responsibilities:

Applies advanced wide-ranging experience and professional knowledge to provide solutions in creative and effective ways.

Directs the application of existing principles and guides development of new policies and ideas. Understands the interrelationships of different disciplines.

Works on complex assignments where problem solving requires in-depth evaluation of varying factors and practices/procedures must be determined.

Enhances internal and external working relationships and networks with key contacts outside area of expertise.

Adapts style to differing audiences and frequently advises others on complex matters that relate to the wider business and require persuasion.

May train and mentor junior level staff.

Experience:

8+ years of experience working in a support organization preferably Biotech, Life Sciences, or related industry including corporate and field staff

Extensive CRM experience, preferably BRIMS and/or Zuora

Experience working with SAP BRIM modules CC, CI, SOM, or FI CA.

Knowledge with subscription systems

Understands best-in-class support and best practices

Experience working with CRM and ERP, preferably SFDC and S4

Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to position initiatives, decisions, and outcomes to diverse audiences.

Ability to collaborate and communicate across all levels of the organization and effectively balance commercial and operational needs

Ability to handle multiple tasks, embrace change, and innovate in a fast-past environment

Ability to effectively lead, plan and execute on plans for process improvement

Preferred experience:

Hands-on experience with BRIMS, SFDC and/or SAP

5+ years as a Business Analyst, Functional Consultant, or Analyst in SAP billing or financial systems.

2+ years hands on experience in SAP BRIM

JIRA/Confluence knowledge and ServiceNow

Experience/Education

Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science or Engineering.
