Software Engineer

This Federal Government Department requires a Software Engineer.

Can be based in ACT, NSW, QLD, SA, VIC working a hybrid set up.

Must be Australian Citizen. 12 mth contract

You will be working within an Agile cross-functional Consumer Data Right (CDR) Product team, to support compliance with the Consumer Data Standards (CDS) set by the Data Standards Body (DSB) and problems with the quality of data exposed through the solution’s API’s.

Key duties and responsibilities

The key duties of the Software Engineer will include:

• Provide scope and sizing of work for inclusion in Sprint cycles.

• Design and develop solutions to operational problems and issues.

• Manage and resolve defects as part of the standard development process.

• Manage and own assigned tickets through to completion.

• Develop technical documentation to capture solution design and configuration.

• Assist with IT and data issues associated with preparing correspondence, board papers and market report related to the IT and data systems.

• Work flexibly as part of a team and independently, across a range of projects at the same time and across geographic areas (offices).

Technical skills

Having regard to the roles and duties outline above, the applicant must have:

• An in-depth knowledge of different services offered by Amazon Web Services (AWS) such as EC2, Lambda, and S3 including their set up and configuration.

• Knowledge of multiple programming languages such as Java, Python and PHP.
