Senior Product Owner - Mobile Gaming

We are building our product and mobile game offerings now, including new social features, competitive modes, and retention systems. As an early leader on this journey, you’ll play an impactful role in shaping the product from the ground up. We’re looking for an experienced Senior Product Owner who is excited about building community-driven products in gaming and leaving their mark on a platform that will become the largest backgammon community in the world.

In this role, you will

• Own the vision and roadmap for our mobile gaming app, driving features that enhance gameplay, engagement, and community.
• Gather and prioritize player requirements from analytics, community feedback, and internal stakeholders.
• Collaboratively define product requirements (user stories, acceptance criteria) and drive execution across development, design, and QA.
• Manage project timelines, resources, and communication in an Agile environment, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Prioritize feature development (gameplay loops, progression, social features, live ops) while balancing short-term wins and long-term strategy.
• Partner with engineering, UX, and marketing teams to deliver high-quality, scalable features on time.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and agile ceremonies, keeping the team aligned on goals.
• Regularly interface with the CEO and leadership team, providing status updates and aligning roadmap priorities with company strategy.

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in mobile gaming or a related interactive product.
• Strong understanding of mobile game design principles (engagement loops, retention mechanics, reward systems, community features).
• Hands-on experience with Agile methodology and backlog management.
• Track record of delivering features that consistently hit business and player engagement goals.
• Comfortable managing across all levels — from executives to developers — to ensure the right work is prioritized.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills, with a data-driven approach.
• Ability to collaborate closely with UX designers (e.g., in Figma) and test APIs to prepare developers for upcoming sprints.
• Experience with game analytics tools (e.g., Firebase, Unity Analytics, Amplitude, or GA4) is a strong plus.
• Friendly, motivating personality with the ability to keep cross-functional teams engaged and accountable.
• Passion for gaming — extra points if you love board games, competitive play, or backgammon itself
