We are seeking an experienced marketing professional to drive brand awareness and lead generation across two lines of business: (1) boutique GIS and software development services, and (2) GeoBlazor, our SaaS product for software developers. Our ideal candidate is equally comfortable writing a technical blog, building an email campaign, or planning our presence at industry conferences—while keeping projects on track and stakeholders aligned.
Experience with GIS marketing is highly preferred.
What You’ll Do as Marketing Lead:
We are adding this marketing role to build and sustain a distinctive brand voice, create valuable content for our GIS and technology audiences, and turn that content into measurable pipeline.
At dymaptic, we build mapping software for our clients and develop off-the-shelf products, including GeoBlazor. Our customers include Fortune 500 companies, non‑profits, and municipal governments, and our developers combine commercial tools, open‑source software, and custom code to deliver complete solutions.
You’ll plan and manage marketing projects end-to-end—blog and resource development, social media management, email strategy, and video/podcast production—while maintaining a clean, segmented contact database. You’ll collaborate closely with design, sales, and technical team members to ensure messaging consistency, highlight customer success, and optimize marketing efforts.
Responsibilities of the Marketing Lead Include:
- Create and lead marketing/content strategy to support business growth.
- Plan, manage, and track marketing projects and campaigns.
- Develop a deep understanding of dymaptic’s products and services to effectively communicate our story to a wide range of audiences.
- Manage content production: blogs, technical articles, case studies, videos, podcasts, and more.
- Write and edit blogs, social posts, case studies, and other copy to use across marketing channels.
- Leverage AI tools (e.g., generative text, image, audio/video) to research, draft, repurpose, and test content—while safeguarding brand voice, accuracy, and compliance.
- Lead email marketing strategy—segmentation, content, scheduling, and automation.
- Maintain and grow a well-structured CRM, ensuring accurate segmentation and compliance.
- Manage and publish across social media channels; monitor engagement and iterate based on analytics.
- Innovate and adapt; monitor industry trends and competitors to inform content strategy and innovation.
- Maintain and update websites as needed.
- Collaborate with design staff to create and refine visual and multimedia assets.
- Manage print projects and coordinate with vendors for swag and collateral.
- Support brand governance—ensure consistency of tone, visuals, and messaging across all touchpoints.
- Stay up-to-date on developments in the GIS industry and Esri software.
- Other marketing duties as assigned.
Qualifications of Our Ideal Marketing Lead:
- 5+ years of B2B marketing experience, with a portfolio of strong written and multimedia work. Experience must include at least one of software development, GIS, or SaaS marketing.
- Proven project management skills—able to juggle multiple campaigns and deadlines with minimal oversight.
- Comfortable working across two teams and reporting lines (dymaptic and GeoBlazor), balancing priorities and communicating trade‑offs.
- Demonstrated success in email marketing and CRM management—HubSpot preferred.
- Curious, trend‑aware marketer—excited to spot the next viral moment and test it in our marketing mix.
- Strong grasp of SEO basics, analytics, and using data to iterate on content and campaigns.
- Experience with WordPress—pages, posts, light HTML/CSS.
- Knowledge of design principles and hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud or equivalent.
- Comfortable experimenting with AI and quickly incorporating useful tools into day-to-day marketing work.
- Social media management experience (planning, publishing, analytics).
- Experience producing and editing video and/or podcast content – preferred.
- Clear, concise communicator who can translate technical ideas into compelling stories.
- Self‑motivated, collaborative, and adaptable—able to work independently in a remote environment.
