Test Engineer (Microsoft D365 and PowerApps.)

RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking a Tester with 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and PowerApps testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test cases across multiple types of testing, supporting agile delivery squads, and demonstrating features directly to clients at the end of each iteration.
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within an agile environment aligned to New Zealand (NZ) time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and document detailed test cases to support:
Functional/System Testing
Regression Testing
Integration Testing
Perform hands-on testing of solutions built on D365 and PowerApps.
Provide client-facing demonstrations of completed features at the end of each iteration.
Participate actively in daily stand-ups (9:00 AM NZT) and refinement sessions (usually 10:00 AM NZT) with the assigned squad.
Collaborate closely with developers, BAs, and the delivery team to clarify requirements and raise defects.
Maintain clear test documentation and traceability.
Ensuring all assigned testing deliverables timelines are met within the sprint and product release.
Creating and communicating test reports for stakeholders such as the principal engineer, product owner, scrum master, & release management as needed.
Communicate risks, issues and escalations as needed
REQUIREMENTS
3-5 years of testing experience with Microsoft D365 and PowerApps.
Proven ability to write and execute detailed test cases for various testing types (functional, regression, integration).
Experience in client-facing demos and articulating feature functionality clearly.
Comfortable working in agile squads and participating in agile ceremonies aligned to NZ working hours.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively.
Experience in using any test management tool for test case creation and execution, defect creation and tracking, etc.
