The Crown Is Yours

As a Senior Lead Software Engineer on our AI Engineering Team, you’ll shape the future of developer productivity and platform experience across the company. You’ll help design the tools, systems, and AI integrations that empower over 2,000 engineers to build faster, with higher quality and less friction. This is a highly technical and strategic role, where you’ll lead cross-functional initiatives, mentor engineers, and drive the evolution of our internal developer experience platform.

What you’ll do as a Senior Lead Software Engineer, AI

• Take ownership of the design, development, and operations of core AI platform components - ranging from LLM runtime services to vector stores and evaluation harnesses.
• Guide your team and partner teams in building secure, scalable APIs and cloud-native services using Python, or C#, and AWS infrastructure.
• Be the first voice for engineering on the systems your team owns - balancing reliability, cost, velocity, and safety.
• Lead design sessions and architecture reviews, ensuring high engineering quality, long-term maintainability, and platform consistency.
• Champion data-driven decision-making: use metrics to prioritize, de-risk, and continuously improve team throughput and platform efficiency.
• Help build a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

• Proven experience leading engineering teams or initiatives focused on developer tooling, platform engineering, or productivity infrastructure.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, C#, or Java) and experience with infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CDK, etc.).
• Strong background in designing and building internal platforms, CI/CD systems, or development frameworks that serve large engineering organizations.
• Experience integrating AI technologies into software engineering workflows (e.g., code generation, summarization, review automation, or knowledge retrieval).
• Hands-on experience with modern developer environments and infrastructure (e.g.,Bitbucket, GitOps, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, or equivalent).
• Ability to work cross-functionally with platform, product, and AI research teams to define and execute high-impact initiatives.
• Clear communicator who can translate technical solutions into tangible productivity gains for engineering teams.
