**The strategy behind the game.**As the Director of Customer Lifetime Value Analytics, you’ll develop and operationalize DraftKings’ next-evolution NPV-based decision-making frameworks, with the goal of monitoring and maximizing customer lifetime value. What you’ll do as the Director of Customer Lifetime Value Analytics:
- You will prioritize high-leverage applications of NPV-based customer value frameworks, especially with regard to marketing investments and product offerings.
- Define simple, pragmatic, transparent frameworks and models that flex with our rapidly changing environment and can extend to cover ever more use cases.
- Operationalize frameworks to improve decision-making and drive impact across our entire product portfolio.
- Proactively generate insights and identify opportunities that can increase customer lifetime value and influence strategic planning.
- Identify key assumptions and collaborate with teams to develop test plans to refine assumptions and better understand the range of potential outcomes.
- Implement appropriate monitoring capabilities and routines, to inform an iterative process of validating assumptions and tuning models.
- Align long-term customer value models with financial forecasts and marketing plans.
- Directly manage a small team of high-performing analysts, while also influencing the work of other operators and analysts across the business.
What skills you will use:
- Ideally, you have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or another relevant quantitative discipline.
- 8+ years of professional experience, with proficiency in business analytics.
- 2+ years as a people manager, with a passion for people development.
- Experience building customer lifetime value modelsand other durable analytical tools that have been used to drive business decisions.
- Experience with short-term and long-term financial forecasting.
- Experience with SQL, Snowflake, Excel, R, Python, and/or another statistical programming language.
- Extremely strong ability to problem-solve when faced with ambiguity and conflicting priorities.
- Ability to take complicated problems and build simple frameworks, with experience synthesizing complex concepts for cross-functional and senior audiences in a geographically-dispersed company.
- Natural curiosity, and a demonstrated ability to turn observed data into a story about what behavior is driving that data.
