As a Senior Designer / Senior Visual Designer at dotdotdash, you'll bring strategic and creative expertise to every stage of the design process. Our Senior Designers aren't just creators — they are critical thinkers who elevate the craft, transforming ideas into industry-leading creative work. You will help set the benchmark for creative excellence, balancing visionary design with detail-oriented execution. This role calls for a passionate individual who is ready to collaborate with teams, and help shape the future of innovative design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Generate and articulate innovative, creative ideas
• Execute and own high-quality design work across all project phases, delivering strategically sound and visually compelling solutions.
• Collaborate across disciplines to deliver innovative ideas that inspire and elevate creative execution.
• Develop and maintain brand design systems, guidelines, and documentation to ensure seamless creative outputs across various touchpoints.
• Inspire junior designers, setting an example with your craft, organization, and approach to design challenges.
• Lead design projects from concept to delivery, ensuring fidelity in every detail, while presenting ideas confidently to clients and internal teams.
• Design presentations, templates, and visual assets to elevate client and agency outputs.
• Collaborate with strategists, writers, and technologists to push creative boundaries on every brief.
• Consistently translate insights into innovative visual narratives, emphasizing both form and function.
• Seamlessly balance autonomy with collaboration to achieve creative outcomes.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in design, with a portfolio showcasing exceptional work in communications, brand systems, and digital and experiential design.
• Strong expertise in tools like Figma, Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and presentation tools like Keynote or Google Slides.
• Ability to create design system from scratch on Figma, including components, auto layouts and more
• Basic animation skills (After Effects)
• Proven ability to adapt and experiment with new ideas and workflows while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience mentoring junior designers and collaborating in multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and storytelling skills, with a talent for presenting and defending creative work effectively.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented and takes initiative to drive projects forward
• Knowledgeable in leveraging AI tools and platforms to enhance creative ideation and design production

• Collaborate with strategists, writers, and technologists to push creative boundaries on every brief.
• Consistently translate insights into innovative visual narratives, emphasizing both form and function.
