The Role

This is not a heads-down production role. As Senior Graphic Designer, you'll own the creative thinking, direction and quality bar for our design team. Most day-to-day execution will be done by the designers you lead — your job is to come up with the ideas, set the direction, guide the team to deliver it, and approve everything before it reaches a client.

You'll still jump in hands-on when a concept needs to be shown rather than explained, or when a key piece needs a senior touch — but your biggest impact will come from making the whole team better.

What You'll Own

Creative strategy & ideation

• Lead ideation for campaigns, launches and monthly content across all client accounts

• Translate client briefs, brand guidelines and performance data into clear creative concepts and angles

• Develop visual directions, moodboards and reference decks before production starts

• Work with the strategy and performance teams to plan creative tests (hooks, formats, layouts, offers) and decide next-round creative based on results

Team leadership & mentoring

• Lead, brief and guide a team of designers day to day

• Break work down, assign it and manage priorities across multiple client accounts

• Teach the team — give structured feedback, run design reviews and raise the standard of craft, speed and thinking

• Build and maintain templates, design systems and process docs that make the team faster and more consistent

Approvals & quality control

• Final creative approval on everything the design team produces before it goes to a client or goes live

• Ensure all work is on-brief, on-brand, platform-ready and conversion-focused

• Catch issues early — hierarchy, copy fit, legibility, specs, compliance flags — and send clear revisions back

Areas you'll direct and approve

• Social media posts — organic content for Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn and Pinterest: static, carousels and story formats

• Social media ads — paid creative for Meta, TikTok and Google: statics, carousels, UGC-style layouts and ad variations built for testing

• UI/UX — Shopify storefronts, landing pages, product pages and email layouts, from wireframes to high-fidelity designs in Figma

• Banners — website hero banners, display ads, promotional graphics and marketplace assets across all required sizes

Client & cross-team collaboration

• Present creative concepts and rationale to clients when needed and handle design feedback

• Collaborate closely with the project manager, content writer, video editor and marketing team

• Keep work moving on time across our task boards (Asana / Monday)

What You Bring

• 5+ years of graphic design experience, with a strong portfolio across social, paid ads, UI/UX and web banners

• Mandatory: hands-on ecommerce design experience — you've designed for online stores and DTC brands (product pages, ad creative, promo banners, Shopify or similar storefronts) and understand how design drives sales

• Proven experience leading, reviewing or mentoring other designers

• Strong conceptual thinking — you can generate multiple distinct creative directions from a single brief

• A sharp eye for typography, layout, colour and visual hierarchy — and the ability to explain why something works

• Solid understanding of performance creative: what makes an ad convert, how to design for testing, and platform-specific best practices

• Working UI/UX knowledge — wireframing, user flows, responsive design and ecommerce conversion principles

• Expert in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator; InDesign/After Effects a plus)

• Comfortable managing several brands and deadlines at once without the quality slipping

• Clear, confident communicator who can give direct feedback kindly
