Donan Consulting is seeking a qualified full-time employee to serve as a Sr. Full Stack Developer. This position is a remote position but occasional traveling to client sites and client meetings may be required, from time to time.
The Sr. Full Stack Developer will be expected to effectively implement business requirements in an Azure cloud environment and is responsible for the analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation and support of new software applications and enhancements to existing applications. This position will also be expected to provide technology solutions to allow business units to achieve their objectives and goals.
The candidate must demonstrate the ability to develop and implement industry technologies and overcome technical challenges in an iterative delivery environment for healthcare technology.
This position is a direct-hire W2 position; no corp-to-corp applications will be considered.
Responsibilities

- Work with Business Analysts (BAs) and Product Owners (POs) to understand requirements, create design specifications and solution architectures
- Design, develop, and test software development, database, and API solutions
- Design and develop robust cloud-based data warehouse solutions using Open Source RDMS, NoSQL, and cloud-based data warehousing services such as Snowflake and Redshift
- Maintain systems by identifying and correcting software defects as needed
- Work as part of an Agile development team to solve problems and develop projects in a fast-paced environment
- Stay on top of tech trends and learn new technologies to support IT modernization initiatives.
- Perform unit tests and conduct reviews with other team members to ensure requirements are met.
- Follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job, using established software development life cycle, coding standards and naming conventions.
- Collaborate with IT Helpdesk team to ensure hardware and software are aligned to deliver business requirements
- Ensure adherence to security, quality standards and technical reviews for all deliverables
- Ensure compliance with security standards like OAuth, OpenID, and DGPR
- Mentor junior and other new developers
Qualifications
- US Citizen or Green Card holder
- A Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science or related engineering discipline
- Master's degree in Computer Science is preferred
- Credentials/Licenses: Azure and/or similar level industry certification
Required Skills
- At least 8+ years of experience as a full stack developer
- At least 5 years of experience designing and building data warehouse solutions in an Azure Cloud environment
- At least 5 years of experience using programming languages such as Java, Python, Node.js, and .Net Core
- At least 5 years of experience suing technologies such Redis, RabbitMQ, SQL, and Apache Kafka
- Good understanding of principles and best practices of microservices architecture, including service decomposition, API design, scalability, and resilience
- Working knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices to support iterative development, continuous improvement, and rapid deployment cycles
- Experience with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes for managing containerized applications at scale.
- Knowledge of designing, implementing, and consuming RESTful APIs and web services is crucial as microservices communicate via APIs.
- Skills in working with databases, especially NoSQL databases like MongoDB or Cassandra, and understanding of data consistency in distributed systems.
- Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment practices and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD) to automate testing and deployment processes.
- Ability to implement monitoring and logging solutions to ensure visibility into microservices performance and behavior.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, and their respective services for hosting and managing microservices.
- Experience with unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing methodologies to ensure the quality and reliability of microservices.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
