Security Backend Developer (Full Remote)

Job Description

We are looking for a young backend developer, curious and passionate about technology, with a particular interest in cybersecurity.

Sounds good. What will I do?

You’ll join the Development Team to:

• Research and identify platform and data security issues;
• Propose new solutions using the latest technologies;
• Design and develop new features to enhance platform and data security;
• Address vulnerabilities discovered during Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT);
• Contribute to the implementation of the Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Qualifications

Must-have requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering;
• At least 1–2 years of experience developing web applications;
• Strong foundation in Software Engineering (design patterns, refactoring patterns, unit testing, clean code) and object-oriented programming;
• Excellent knowledge of the most common web vulnerabilities (XSS, CSRF, SQL Injection, RCE, Session Fixation, SSRF, etc.);
• Good understanding of distributed web application architecture (HTTP protocol, REST APIs, caching techniques) – if you've worked on a project, feel free to share your portfolio!
• Written and spoken proficiency in English.

Nice-to-have requirements:

• Italian speaker.
• Experience in cybersecurity
• Experience developing REST APIs – in any language
• Experience with AWS
• Experience with PHP
• Experience with the ELK stack
• Experience with Git and version control systems

🤝 What’s the selection process like?

• A 60-minute interview with an HR team member to get to know you and understand your interests and motivations.
• A technical test to get a sense of your skills: we’ll send you a document with 3 exercises, and you’ll have 2 hours to submit your answers.
• A 90-minute interview with the Backend Manager and Team Leader to dive into your technical knowledge and career goals
