Job Responsibilities
The Marketing Executive’s main responsibilities and roles include, but not limited to, the following:
- Support the country manager in planning and execution of marketing program in Laos market.
- Coordinate with DKT regional marketing team in translation from English to Laos language, which may include consumer marketing communications, trade promotion materials, product brochure, product training materials… etc.
- Assist DKT’s regional team in communicating with relevant stakeholders (e.g. interpretation from English to Laos and vice versa during market visit, event and conference)
- Coordinate with DKT’s Sales Manager Lao in development, planning and execution of trade marketing program.
- Collect market information from the sales team (DKT and VTP) or through regular market visit (at least once per quarter and ideally once per month with or without the Country Manager or regional team)
- Report monthly sales & marketing activities for DKT products in Lao (sales promotion, event, activation, combined trade and consumer promotion, etc.)
- Work closely with DKT’s Sales Manager in Laos in processing proposal for trade marketing programs and purchase order from distributor to DKT procurement.
- Along with DKT’s Sales Manager, develop close working relationship with distributor sales team and suggest incentive scheme for distributor sales team that drive sales out and check for initiative that drive off-take (in particular, incentive scheme to Pharmacy staffs for recommending DKT products…)
- Take necessary actions to resolve DKT operational issues/service complaints, if any.
- Participate in the event and conference sponsored by DKT or distributor, to develop network for listing DKT products in clinics/hospitals.
- Other tasks assign by Country Manager in charge of Laos.

- Cooperate and coordinate with DKT’s Sales Manager based in Lao for planning and execution of trade promotion program.

- Obgyn, nurses, midwives’ association

- Ministry of Health and other government bodies
- Implementing partners (NGOs), tech partners etc.

Qualifications and Skills Required
Education and experience:
- A Laos national with very good command of English – able to communicate with Country Manager and DKT team (speaking, listening and writing in English) effectively.
- Bachelor/master’s degree in medical science stream, such as pharmacy, nursing, biology, medicine. Other degrees with the commerce stream (ie: Marketing, Business Administration) are also encouraged to apply.
- 3 – 5 years of proven work experience as Marketing Assistant or Marketing Executive of Fast-Moving Consumer Good (FMCG) company or within the pharmaceutical industry with increased responsibility, scope of work.
- Be able to translate from English to Lao and Lao to English without constraint.
- Knowledgeable in sales, mark
- Relevant experience/knowledge in product development planning, regulatory affairs, pharma business environment and practices and laws affecting pharma/medical devices marketing and sales is an advantage.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office, in particular Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
- Candidate is expected to hold a driving license and own his own vehicle (car preferably).
