Full-Stack Software Engineer

We're looking for a resourceful, sharp, and fast-moving Full-Stack Software Engineer to join our high-velocity engineering team. You'll work directly with another exceptional engineer and report to a hands-on CTO with 25+ years of experience scaling high-growth startups.

What You’ll Do

• Design, build, and maintain backend services in Node.js using AWS Lambdas, queues, and serverless infrastructure.
• Develop clean, performant, and responsive frontend components (React or similar).
• Integrate with third-party APIs like Shopify, shipping providers, and payment gateways.
• Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Triage and resolve performance, reliability, and usability issues before they escalate.
• Leverage AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Cursor) to move faster without compromising on quality.

What We're Looking For

• 3–7 years of full-stack development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Node.js and modern frontend frameworks (React, Vue, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, ideally AWS.
• Comfortable building and maintaining distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Excellent debugging and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated and autonomous, with a strong sense of ownership and urgency.
• Strong written communication skills—able to document clearly and collaborate asynchronously.
• Enthusiasm for using AI tools to boost velocity and code quality.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms.
• Background in startups or fast-paced, agile environments.
• Familiarity with serverless architectures and message queues (e.g., SQS, SNS, Kafka).
