About Distillery

Distillery Tech Inc accelerates innovation through an unyielding approach to nearshore software development. The world’s most innovative technology teams choose distillery to help accelerate strategic innovation, fill a pressing technology gap, and hit mission-critical deadlines. We support essential applications, mobile apps, websites, and eCommerce platforms through the placement of senior, strategic technical leaders and by deploying fully managed technology teams that work intimately alongside our client’s in-house development teams. At Distillery Tech Inc, we’re not here to reinvent nearshore software development, we’re on a mission to perfect it. Distillery Tech Inc is committed to diversity and inclusion. We actively seek to cultivate a workforce that reflects the rich tapestry of perspectives, backgrounds, and experiences present in our society. Our recruitment efforts are dedicated to promoting equal opportunities for all candidates, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, age, or any other dimension of diversity.

About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and motivated UX/UI Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will contribute to a range of client-facing products, with a strong emphasis on internal tools that support financial analysis, complex data modeling, and operational decision-making. This role requires a designer who is comfortable navigating non-intuitive workflows, translating complex requirements into usable interfaces, and iterating based on real user needs rather than aesthetic preferences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and improve user interfaces for tools with high information density, complex logic, and technical users (e.g., finance, operations, or data analytics teams).
  • Use Figma to create and maintain UI components aligned with an existing design system, proposing improvements where necessary.
  • Build low-fidelity prototypes using Moqups or similar tools to validate flows and concepts quickly with stakeholders before moving into UI.
  • Lead or support user research initiatives, including gathering feedback from internal users, identifying usability issues, and proposing actionable UX improvements.
  • Participate in product discussions with cross-functional teams to align user needs, technical feasibility, and business goals.
  • Work on tools where financial modeling, allocation logic, or profitability analysis may be core to the product, often requiring navigation of hierarchies, multidimensional filters, or tabular data structures.
  • Simplify and clarify workflows that were not originally designed with usability in mind.

Requirements:

  • Solid experience designing for B2B or enterprise software, especially in domains involving data-heavy interfaces or backend-driven tools.
  • Advanced proficiency in Figma and experience working within a structured design system.
  • Ability to design usable, logical experiences for non-linear workflows and technical user groups.
  • Experience prototyping early concepts at low fidelity and validating them with real users or stakeholders.
  • Comfort working with product managers, engineers, and consultants to iterate quickly and resolve ambiguity.

Desirable requirements:

  • Familiarity with tools like Power BI or Tableau, or with the principles of data visualization in analytics platforms.
  • Experience designing internal tools for finance, supply chain, or analytics users.
  • Understanding of financial data structures, such as P&L hierarchies or cost allocation models (not required, but helpful).

Why You’ll Like Working Here

  • Collaborate with multi-national teams committed to our core values: Unyielding Commitment, Relentless Pursuit, Courageous Ambition, and Authentic Connection.
  • Enjoy a competitive compensation package, generous vacation, and comprehensive benefits.
  • Work remotely in a flexible, supportive environment.
  • Access professional and personal development opportunities to advance your career.
