Overview: Disability Law Group seeks a director-level marketing professional to lead the firm’s marketing strategy and team. This role will design and execute data-driven campaigns, manage the firm’s digital presence, and oversee lead-generation efforts. The Marketing Director will bring SEO and website management in-house (replacing a $4K/month SEO vendor) and collaborate closely with attorneys to drive client growth through strategic marketing.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Leadership: Develop and implement the firm’s marketing strategy, lead the marketing team, set goals and KPIs, and report performance to firm leadership.
- Digital Campaign Management: Plan, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns (Google Ads, Google LSA, paid social). Manage budgets and analyze ROI to maximize client leads.
- Website & SEO: Oversee updates to the firm's websites (Michigan Accident Attorneys & Disability Law Group), implement on-page and technical SEO, and coordinate web content to drive organic traffic.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor website, social media, and advertising analytics (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure performance. Generate reports on lead volume, conversion rates, and other key metrics to inform strategy.
- Content & Communications: Work with attorneys to produce marketing content (blogs, newsletters, videos) supporting business development. Ensure messaging is consistent, professional, and optimized for search.
- Vendor & Lead Management: Manage relationships with marketing vendors or legal lead services (e.g., directory listings, referral partners). Evaluate outside vendors and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Collaboration: Align marketing initiatives with firm goals (targeting specific case types or regions) and work with intake staff to follow up on leads.
- Budgeting: Develop and manage the marketing budget across paid and organic channels.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of marketing experience, including leadership or director-level roles (ideally within a high-growth law firm or professional services environment).
- Proven expertise in managing paid search (Google Ads, Google LSA) and paid social media campaigns.
- Demonstrated ability in website management and SEO (able to replace an external SEO vendor with in-house strategy).
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven mindset; proficiency with analytics tools (Google Analytics, CRM reports, dashboards).
- Familiarity with legal industry marketing or lead-generation vendors is a plus.
- Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to collaborate with attorneys and staff.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or related (advanced degree a plus).
Location: Based in Metro Detroit (Troy, MI); remote candidates will also be considered.
Compensation: Salary range: $85K–$115K base, with KPIs & Merit-based bonus available.
