Our client, a marketing agency in the DTC space, is hiring a Performance Marketing Manager! (with cannabis/CBD industry experience)
We’re looking for a creative and energetic full-time Paid Social Media Buyer & Growth Marketing Strategist to join our client's team. We are looking for a specialist that knows their way around the ins and outs of Cannabis. CBD, or other banned product verticles.
You will create and manage ads using Meta primarily, with a suite of tools we have to get around the system, you will be responsible for managing client budgets, account analysis, reporting, and interfacing with the client. This role will be client-facing.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Develop, execute and maintain ROI focused paid media campaigns across multiple channels
- Use industry knowledge to develop and optimize paid media campaigns
- Be able to complete multi-channel marketing plans, support campaign ideation, and manage paid media for clients
- Media Buying Qualifications - must have managed outright single channel budgets bigger than $50,000 per month in spend USD.
- Ad Strategy & Media Buying Execution – Plan, launch, and optimize paid media campaigns across Meta (Facebook/Instagram), TikTok, Google (YouTube/Shopping/Search), and X (Twitter) for D2C brands.
- Collaboration & Cross-Functional Execution – Work closely with a Performance Marketing Strategist, project manager, designers, and copywriters to ensure campaigns align with creative strategy and business goals.
- Budget Management – Own and manage daily ad spend across multiple accounts, ensuring optimal allocation and efficiency.
- Creative Testing & Iteration – Work closely with the creative team to analyze ad performance, test new iterations, and scale winning creatives.
- Performance Analysis – Leverage analytics tools such as Meta Ads Manager, Google Analytics, Triple Whale, and Varos to track KPIs, identify insights, and optimize campaigns for ROAS.
- Audience Targeting & Experimentation – Continuously test new audiences, creative formats, and campaign structures to improve efficiency.
- Landing Page Optimization – Collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure landing pages and funnels are conversion-optimized.
Qualifications
- Looking for those specifically with experience in tricky industries like Cannabis, CBD, etc.
- 2+ years of experience in media buying for Cannabis D2C/eCommerce brands (agency experience preferred).
- 1+ year working at an agency or managing accounts
- Proven track record of managing $50K+ monthly budgets with strong ROAS results.
- Deep expertise in Meta Ads, plus experience with TikTok, Google, and X ads.
- Strong analytical mindset – able to make data-driven decisions and optimize campaigns for performance.
- Client-facing experience with the ability to clearly present campaign results, insights, and next steps to brands and stakeholders.
- Experience with attribution tools like Triple Whale, Northbeam, or Varos is a plus.
