Our client, an e-commerce holding owning CPG several brands, is hiring a Director of Marketing & Operations Strategy!
The Role:
As the Director of Marketing & Operations Strategy, you’ll act as a strategic partner to the founder, working across the portfolio to identify areas for improvement and growth — and actually execute on them. From account and project management to operational rigor, you’ll be responsible for bringing clarity, structure, and strategic foresight to the entire business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a strategic business partner to the founder — helping guide short- and long-term decision-making
- Assess and diagnose operational bottlenecks across each brand in the portfolio
- Design and implement scalable systems and processes across ops, project management, account oversight, and reporting
- Own high-level project management — ensuring cross-functional alignment and timely execution
- Oversee day-to-day operations while also keeping a finger on financial, marketing, and fulfillment KPIs
- Manage external partners, freelancers, and vendors, ensuring consistent execution and accountability
- Build internal dashboards, SOPs, and performance reviews to professionalize the backend of the business
Requirements:
- 5+ years in operations, growth, or general management roles, ideally in fast-paced e-commerce or DTC environments
- Deep understanding of the e-commerce ecosystem: marketing, logistics, product, data, and customer experience
- Experience in or with agencies, with a client-services mindset and ability to juggle multiple accounts
- Highly strategic but also extremely execution-focused — you know how to prioritize and get things done
- Comfort with data, dashboards, and driving decisions based on metrics
- A systems thinker with the ability to take chaotic, high-volume businesses and turn them into well-oiled machines
You Might Be a Fit If:
- You’ve run operations for a high-growth DTC brand or digital agency
- You’re obsessed with optimization — from process to people to performance
- You know how to balance speed and quality, and thrive in a lean, high-output environment
- You can confidently lead others, manage up, and build a team when the time is right
