Java Engineer with EPIC Interconnect

Position Overview: We are seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer with hands-on experience in EPIC Interconnect and healthcare integrations. This fully remote role focuses on designing and developing secure, scalable REST APIs and backend services using Java and Spring Boot, specifically for integrating third-party systems with EPIC.

The ideal candidate has deep familiarity with EPIC Bridges, FHIR/FHIR Gateway, and a proven background in healthcare IT. You’ll collaborate closely with EPIC analysts and architects to build reliable, high-performance solutions and troubleshoot integration issues effectively.

Sr. Java Engineer with EPIC Interconnect

Location: Remote within USA

Duration: 6 months with strong possibility of extension

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Experience working with Epic Bridges, FHIR, or FHIR Gateway.
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment.
• Hands-on experience with Epic Interconnect and a solid understanding of Epic APIs.
• Proficiency in designing secure, scalable, and high-performing REST APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain custom APIs using Epic Interconnect to integrate third-party systems with Epic.
• Design and implement backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Collaborate with Epic analysts, architects, and developers to meet integration requirements.
• Ensure the performance, security, and scalability of integration solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues swiftly.
• Maintain documentation for all developed APIs and integration workflows.
