Role: UI / UX Designer @ Digital Tent Studio
We are looking for a mid-level UI/UX Designer to craft excellent user experiences. You will work with various teams and stakeholders in every stage of the design process, from discovery all the way to user testing and prototyping. You will also work with the development team post-production to analyze user behavior. You'll have full creative ownership with direct access to leadership. You are expected to work independently on most tasks, make sound design decisions with minimal oversight while growing to a senior/lead role.
Your responsibilities include creating industry-standard design deliverables for clients and team members. For every project, you will thoroughly document your process and regularly improve your process. You must have prior experience with design (especially Figma) and testing tools. A portfolio showcasing web and mobile UX case studies is required to be considered.
Location: Islamabad, Pakistan (preferably close to I-8)
Experience required: 3-5 years minimum with documented case studies
Working days: Monday to Friday every week
Working hours: Remote days: 7am–3pm | On-site days: 9am–5pm
Soft skills: Excellent communication skills, problem-solving mindset, attention to detail and ability to manage feedback constructively

🎨 Core Design Responsibilities
- Create wireframes, mockups, and interactive prototypes for websites and applications
- Design user interfaces that are visually consistent, accessible, and on-brand
- Develop and maintain design systems and component libraries
- Translate product requirements and user needs into intuitive design solutions
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing
🔍 User Research & Testing
- Conduct or assist in user research activities (interviews, surveys, card sorting)
- Analyze user behavior data (heatmaps, session recordings, analytics)
- Plan and run usability tests, then synthesize findings into actionable insights
- Create user personas, journey maps, and user flows
🤝 Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with product managers to understand business goals and user needs
- Partner with developers to ensure accurate design implementation
- Participate in design critiques and give/receive constructive feedback
- Present design rationale clearly to non-design stakeholders
📐 Design Process & Documentation
- Follow and contribute to established design processes and workflows
- Document design decisions and maintain up-to-date design specs
- Regularly review and improve design processes
- Prepare handoff files for developers (labels, assets, annotations)
📈 Growth & Ownership
- Stay current with UI/UX trends, tools, and best practices
- Proactively identify UX problems and propose solutions without being asked
🛠️ Tools & Technologies
- Design and Prototyping: Figma (must know)
- Research: UXtweak (have experience with similar tools)
- Handoff: Zeplin (have experience with similar tools)
- Collaboration: Asana, Confluence and Slack (have experience with similar tools)
- Familiarity with AI design tools such as Midjourney, Galileo AI, or Uizard is a plus
