The Vice President of Brand & Marketing Services is a senior leader responsible for shaping and scaling Digital Science’s global brand, while driving corporate communications and marketing execution across a diverse, multi-segment portfolio that powers the research ecosystem. Reporting to the SVP of Marketing, this role leads a high-performing, agency-style team that delivers data-driven strategic marketing services—including content creation, public relations, analyst relations, events, social media management, website administration, and market research—in support of our segment-focused operating model.

As the steward of our brand strategy, the VP ensures that our visual identity, voice, and messaging are consistently applied across all touchpoints, reinforcing a unified brand narrative that resonates with global audiences. With a deep understanding of how generative AI and automation are reshaping creative workflows, the VP will champion innovation in how content is produced, personalized, and distributed at scale.

Acting as the connective tissue between corporate brand and market segment teams, the VP leads a team that delivers a cohesive and impactful presence across all channels. The VP partners closely with Segment Marketing and Product Marketing leaders to create compelling, data-driven communications that articulate the value of Digital Science’s software and data offerings. This individual manages a portfolio of DS-level content initiatives—including blogs, podcasts, press, and social media—while maintaining excellence across all marketing production efforts to drive visibility, engagement, and measurable growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

Brand Strategy & Corporate Communications

  • Working with the SVP Marketing, define and lead a forward-looking, insight-driven brand strategy that elevates Digital Science’s position as a global category leader across academic, government, publishing, and enterprise segments, from both a B2B and B2C perspective.
  • Evolve and govern the company’s brand architecture, visual identity, and messaging framework to ensure consistency across all product lines, customer touchpoints, and market segments.
  • Serve as the primary steward of the corporate brand, ensuring it is effectively translated across prospect, customer, partner, and employer communications.
  • Lead all corporate communications functions—including public relations (PR) and analyst relations (AR)—seeking opportunities to shape the conversation, and aligning narrative with business priorities and reputational goals.
  • Develop and execute executive communications strategies, including media training, op-ed development, speaking engagements, and stakeholder messaging.

Marketing Services Leadership

  • Working with Segment Marketing and Product Marketing VPs, lead a cross-functional marketing services team responsible for content creation, design, digital production, social media, and event marketing.
  • Deliver on content strategies by managing all aspects of digital content production—including web, video, design, and social media—to deliver cohesive brand experiences that support pipeline and awareness goals.
  • Identify and implement scalable processes and technology—including AI-powered content workflows, creative ops platforms, and AI-assisted brand validation —to improve output, efficiency, and performance tracking.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Serve as a key partner to Segment Marketing, Product Marketing, and Performance Marketing—aligning brand and content strategy with demand generation and sales enablement needs.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Product, Customer Engagement and Revenue Operations to ensure consistent messaging and strategic alignment across the customer lifecycle.
  • Partner with the Executive Team on internal and external communications initiatives, including employee engagement, culture activation, and employer brand development.
  • Lead agency and vendor relationships, ensuring high-quality output, brand alignment, and cost-effective execution.

What You’ll Bring To The Role

  • 15+ years experience leading brand strategy, corporate marketing, and communications across complex, multi-segment organizations with specific experience in both B2C and B2B organizations. Skilled at scaling brand architecture, messaging, and identity across diverse markets and product lines.
  • Hands-on expertise managing media relationships, analyst engagements, and crisis communications. Demonstrated ability to secure high-impact coverage and position executive voices in industry-shaping conversations.
  • Strong background in content development across blogs, thought leadership, podcasts, video, and social media.
  • Able to lead editorial planning, messaging frameworks, and distribution strategies to maximize reach and engagement.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with executive leadership, Sales, Product, and RevOps to align brand execution with business goals.
  • Experience with navigating matrixed organizations and driving cross-functional alignment.
  • Experience leading in-house teams and managing agency partners across creative, content, and communications.
  • Skilled at building high-performing teams and ensuring quality, efficiency, and brand integrity across all outputs.
  • Combines strategic vision with a hands-on, proactive leadership style.
  • Thrives in dynamic environments with a strong bias for action, iteration, and results.
