Senior Interaction Designer

Location: Fully Remote

Employment Type: Project-based Contract (3–6 months, extendable)

About the Role:

We seek a skilled Freelance UX/UI Designer to collaborate on an exciting project involving multi-platform interfaces (mobile, web, and HMI). This is a fully remote, contract-based role where you will work directly with our global team and liaise with the client to deliver exceptional digital experiences.

Ideal candidates have a strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design and an interest in emerging technologies (AI, AR/VR, IoT, etc.).

Key Responsibilities:

• Design intuitive UI/UX solutions for mobile apps, web platforms, and HMI systems (e.g., automotive, smart devices).
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups (Figma).
• Participate in daily standup meetings (JST-friendly hours) and collaborate with remote teams.
• Communicate directly with the client, gathering feedback and iterating on designs.
• Ensure designs align with accessibility, usability, and modern interaction trends.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional UX/UI design experience (portfolio required).
• Expertise in Figma.
• Experience designing for multiple platforms (mobile, web, HMI, etc.).
• Strong communication skills—must be comfortable in client-facing discussions.
• Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup with daily syncs.
• Fluent English/Japanese.
• Interest in AI, AR/VR, voice interfaces, or other emerging tech preferred.

Project Details:

• Duration: 3–6 months (potential for extension).
• Fully remote, but must be available for daily standups (JST timezone).
• Client-facing role—must be proactive in presenting and defending design decisions.
