About this Role
As the Commercial Product Manager, you will translate Diagnexia’s business goals into scalable product strategies and commercially successful solutions. You will own the product roadmap, lead go-to-market planning, and manage in-life performance to ensure sustained impact and revenue growth.
This role sits at the intersection of product, commercial, and operational strategy—ideal for someone who can think both strategically and execute tactically within a fast-paced, regulated healthcare environment.
Responsibilities:
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Translate business strategy into a clear product vision and roadmap, aligned to Diagnexia’s global growth objectives.
- Define and document business cases for new features, services, or platform investments.
- Champion value propositions tailored to market segments (e.g. NHS Trusts, private labs, academic institutions).
- Maintain a deep understanding of product performance, customer needs, and competitor positioning.
Commercial Ownership
- Own pricing strategy, including value-based, cost-plus, and usage-based pricing models across NHS, private, and international markets.
- Maintain complete oversight of Freedom of Information (FOI) data, turning raw market and competitor pricing into meaningful insights and benchmarking models.
- Manage and optimize product profitability, supporting business forecasting and investment prioritization.
- Collaborate with finance and commercial teams on margin analysis and pricing governance.
Launch & Lifecycle Management
- Lead go-to-market planning, working closely with marketing, sales, and operations to ensure successful product launches.
- Define and track KPIs for adoption, satisfaction, commercial performance, and operational efficiency.
- Oversee in-life product performance, managing continuous improvement based on usage data, customer feedback, and operational input.
Market & Tender Intelligence
- Conduct in-depth market research, VOC programs, and competitor analysis.
- Support the commercial team in responding to tenders and RFPs, with product-aligned documentation and roadmap visibility.
- Stay informed on NHS procurement, ICS/ICB strategy, and public sector buying frameworks.
Cross-Functional Leadership
- Align cross-functional teams (engineering, clinical, operations, sales, and marketing) around product goals, delivery plans, and customer needs.
- Deliver internal training and enablement on roadmap, features, value propositions, and pricing updates.
- Ensure support and success teams are equipped to deliver a consistent and impactful user experience.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3+ years in product management or strategic commercial roles within digital pathology, histology, healthtech, or clinical diagnostics.
- Strong commercial acumen with ownership of pricing models and in-market product success.
- Proven experience translating Freedom of Information data or equivalent public market data into actionable commercial strategy.
- Practical knowledge of NHS procurement models, private diagnostic markets, and tender submissions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and cross-functional influencing skills.
- Familiarity with digital product development, agile methodologies, and backlog ownership.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of LIS/LIMS integration, diagnostic imaging, or AI/ML in healthcare.
- Experience with regulatory environments (e.g. ISO 27001, UKCA, CE, HIPAA).
- Certification in project or product delivery frameworks such as PRINCE2, AgilePM, or PMP.
- Experience using analytics tools, pricing models, or market intelligence platforms (e.g. Tableau, Power BI, Tender databases).
