Senior Data Scientist

Job Purpose

• Lead and guide Data Scientists, Analysts, and cross-functional data enthusiasts.
• Drive AI-led initiatives by building reusable AI, RPA based modules and intelligent data products.
• Own end-to-end delivery of data science projects with strong project management governance.

Reports to Head of IT, DHL eCommerce Australia

• Strong expertise across Power BI, Python, Microsoft Fabric, and RPA platforms.
• Combines data science, AI, and intelligent automation (RPA) capabilities.

Key Tasks

• Mentor Data Scientists, Analysts, and data enthusiasts across functions.
• Design and implement AI/ML models and RPA solutions for automation and optimisation.
• Build reusable AI and RPA modules (forecasting, anomaly detection, process automation).
• Lead end-to-end project delivery including planning, execution, and stakeholder alignment.
• Drive Microsoft Fabric adoption for scalable data and analytics solutions.

• Mentor and influence teams without direct authority
• Lead multiple data and AI initiatives
• Build future data and AI capability across the organisation

Skills

• Advanced Python and machine learning frameworks
• Expert in Power BI and data visualisation
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric
• Experience with RPA tools and automation frameworks (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate)
• Strong project management and stakeholder management
• Strong interest in AI and building scalable AI + automation modules

Qualifications & Key Requirements

Education Level

Bachelor’s/Master’s in Data Science, Computer Science, or related field

Experience Level

6–10 years in analytics/data science with leadership exposure
